Http to https - Copy Disavow?
-
If the switch is made from http to https (with 301 redirects from http to https) should the disavow file be copied over in GWT so it is also uploaded against the https as well as the http version?

Thanks. I had assumed the same but then I read these blog posts that seems to contradict this:

Hi,
No. As you have mentioned that you are going to use 301 redirects from http to https and a 301 redirect is a permanent redirect which passes between 90-99% of link juice (ranking power) to the redirected page.
If you disavow any link through Google search console Google makes that link nofollow**
If links are already disavowed for http that means no link value passing to http domain and same will happen to https domain because you are going to use 301 redirection( which passes between 90-99% of link juice (ranking power) to the redirected page)
Hope this helps.
Thanks

I am not sure If I get your question correctly but as per the best of my understanding if you are making a switch from http to https it’s not important to upload the disavow file of https as well and this is because 301 redirection will also take search engine bot to https versions and take the same actions accordingly.
But, to be on the safe side if you include https versions in the disavow file, it will only help! J
Let me know if it makes sense to you!

HTTP URLs Still in Index
One of the sites I manage was migrated to secure 2 months ago. XML sitemaps have been updated, canonical tags all have https:, and a redirect rule was applied. Despite all this, I'm still seeing non-secure URLs in Google's index. The weird thing is, when I click those links, they go to the secure version. Has anyone else seen weird things with Google not properly indexing secure versions of URLs?

Mass HTTP to HTTPs move
Hi, As as part of an on-site SEO optimisation process, we've identified moving over from http to https - this is also in part to ensure our on-site forms are secure. In our industry our website has a high traffic volume (top 2 in the industry), we are concerned what impact the 301-redirecting from http to https would have on our organic traffic, both in terms of how Google would react to this mass-301 redirect plus the loss of 'search value' of inbound links. Privacy issues aside, would the minor quality-signal improvement be worth the move? Anyone have experience with such a move - was the outcome positive? Many thanks, Jason

Google Plus One button and https migration
I have a site that has gotten quite a few google +1's. I am currently migrating to https for the site and it seems I will lose all the +1's? Per the documentation it seems I can set the URL to the normal http://, but that would then allow ppl to continue +'ing the old url. Is there a way around this? Thanks!

Redirecting http to https, do I need to add new url to webaster tools?
Hey all, we just 301 redirected all our http url's to https. I'm getting some funky data in webmaster tools, such as a drastic change in pages indexed and pages submitted over pages indexed. Might be a dumb question, but do I need to update my website in webmaster tools with the new https address, or should I be getting credible data from the old http url that is already in there? Thank you in advance!

Duplicate content q - Can search engines tell where the original text was copied from?
I was under the impression that when a search engine comes across duplicate content it won't be able to determine which one is the original. Is this not the case?

How do https pages affect indexing?
Our site involves e-commerce transactions that we want users to be able to complete via javascript popup/overlay boxes. in order to make the credit card form secure, we need the referring page to be secure, so we are considering making the entire site secure so all of our site links wiould be https. (PayPal works this way.) Do you think this will negatively impact whether Google and other search engines are able to index our pages?
