SEO Client not rankings in Google
-
Hello,
I have a client that has continued to be problematic for my team and I. They have fair to middling rankings in Yahoo and Bing, but none in Google. I realize that they are three separate search engines each with their own criteria, but this client is the only one experiencing this problem.
There is no significant duplicate content that can find, same with restrictions in the robots.txt file. These seems to be no reason why all my tools say that this client has no presence at all in google, especially when the client gains most of their traffic through Google.
Can anyone assist me in finding out what is going wrong?
Client website for reference: http://www.volvethosp.com/

Hey Christy,
Sorry for the belated response.
The keywords that we have been targeting were:
knoxville tn veterinarian
knoxville tn animal hospital
knoxville vet
emergency vet knoxville
A second look in a different rank tracking software showed me that they do rank, but very low in google. I also checked the search console and found that while my website was getting impressions for non branded terms it had 0% CTR for these organic terms, this leads me to believe that the most important pages may not be showing up for the appropriate keywords.

You are definitely in Google SERPS (as Christy noted). However, you have duplicate content. For example, I grabbed a snippet: "Our Pet Loss Library features articles written by grief professionals that will address many of the questions you may have when dealing with the loss of a" and many sites came up for this.
My suggestion is to rewrite all duplicate content. This will help with bringing in more organic traffic and ranking.
Good luck!

Hi BeyondIndigo,
I just did a nonpersonalized search in Google-US for Volunteer Veterinary Hospital in Knoxville, and you client came up as the first organic result in the SERPs. My hunch is that you are not ranking for the search terms you are tracking in the tools you mentioned, and you are not tracking the search terms that are actually driving organic search traffic to your client's site.
In order to tell for sure, though, please provide us with more information about the tools you are using, and what, exactly, they are showing you that has led you to believe that your client's site has no presence in Google's search results.
Finally, if your client's site has been verified in Google Search Console, (formerly known as Googlewebmaster Tools), you can see how often the site is showing up in the SERPs, and for what search queries, in the Search Analytics Report.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Christy

How to Get google to get to index New URL and not the OLD url
Hi Team, We are undertaking a Domain migration activity to migrate our content frrom one domain to another. 1. the Redirection of pages is handeled at Reverse proxy level. 2. We do have 301 redirects put in place. However we still see that google is indexing pages with our Old domain apart from the pages from new domain. Is there a way for us to stop google from indexing our pages from Old domain. The recommendations to have Noindex on Page mete title and disallow does not work since our redirection is setup at RP and google crawlers always discover the new pages after redirection.

Checking subdomains/ site structure of a website for International SEO
Dear Moz community, I am looking into two websites for a friend and we want to understand the following: What is the site structure as per the sub domains? e.g currently it is .com/en/ or .com/ru/ or .com/zh/ Using the crawl report, each page has a en or other language version. I take it this means that we have to create copy, meta titles and descriptions for each of the languages even if the page is the same but in a different language? To avoid duplication of content would you suggest canonical tags to be put in place? To check hreflang mark up, I couldn't find anything in the code which makes me thing a script is automatically translating this? This is the first time I have started to look at international SEO and want to understand what to look for in an audit of exisiting sites. Thank you,

Best SEO Option for Multi-site Set-up
Hi Guys, We have a Business to Business Software Website. We are Global business but mainly operate in Ireland, UK and USA. I would like your input on best practice for domain set-up for best SEO results in local markets. Currently we have: example.com (no market specified) and now we are creating: example.com/ie (Ireland) example.com/uk (united kingdom) example.com/us (united states) My question is mainly based on the example.com/us website - should we create example.com/us for the US market OR just use example.com for the US the market? If the decision is example.com/us should we build links to the directory or the main .com website. To summarize there is two questions: 1. Advise on domain set-up 2. Which site to build links to if example.com/us is the decision. Thank you in advance, Glen.

Ideas on creating location based service pages for SEO value while not worrying about local SEO?
Hello and thanks for reading! We have a bit of a rare issue, where we are a nationwide distributor but have a local side that handles all tristate area requests, the sales that happen via local basically don't impact the online side, so we're trying to not focus on local SEO but in a sense worry about abroad local SEO. We want to try the location based service pages, but not for every state, at most 5 states and inside those pages target 2 to 3 big cities. Is this a waste of time to even think about or is this something that can be done with a careful touch?

Hello Moz Community, We have been working with a company called Provincial Movers to optimize their website. We are focusing our efforts on building external local & relevant citations, however, I can't help but think there is more we can do internally --> www.provincialmoving.com The previous provider created a LOT of articles that are not necessarily relevant to the website like this: http://www.provincialmoving.com/blogs/ Do you guys have any suggestions for cleaning up the website so it performs better on Google? Thanks, Anton

I have a site i am working on link It was ranking fairly well and then I added content to the homepage to better optimize it for the keywords it was already ranking for. Ever since I did that the entire site is no longer ranking well. Thoughts?
