Facebook URLs, Anchor Text
-
I have a client that is considering a facebook url change. For ease of explanation, let's say their currently existing URL is facebook.com/Company123. I've googled their currently existing facebook url and found a dozen or so websites that include the text, "facebook.com/Company123".
But, these results don't include websites that have an anchor text of, for example, "Facebook" and a link pointing to facebook.com/Company123. Has anybody had success tracking down any/all websites that point to a specific Facebook url? I've tried Open Site Explorer, OpenLinkprofiler, RankSignals, and SEO SpyGlass to no avail. Thank you!

Perfect. I heard something back from ahrefs that was very similar. Thanks, again!
Summary (as it relates to ahrefs, at least): If a website is crawled by a backlink research tool, any applicable backlink to facebook.com/Company123 should show up.

I assume that there are not that many results being returned?
Yeah, that would be the bad part - I believe there is nothing really can be done about that.
Maybe before changing URL, you can do some type of announcement on the page, saying something like "hey guys, we are about to change our FB url, here is what it gonna be". Also do similar email blast.

Thank you! I think my main issue when using the tools described is that the url is facebook.com/Company 123 (meaning, it's on facebook's domain). I am/was hoping there was a tool out there I wasn't familiar with.

Hi there.
I would say use all available tools like you mentioned + Ahrefs, Screaming Frog etc + Simply googling exact match links. Build up a combined list of returned results, get unique links. This is really the best way to accumulate all those links.

Hi, I recall being able to use OSE for Facebook. Take https://www.facebook.com/VICE/ which we know as a URL would have many backlinks. It's need registering any. Has this always been the case?

Getting spam Links pointing to our wrong url, what to do?
Hey Mozzers, Looking in my Google Search Console (Webmaster Tools), I'm getting links pointing to bogus pages on my website that result in a 404. What does one do so you can tell Google that it has been "fixed"? Do i just 301 it to another website? If I add it to my disavow list, does Google remove the error in my webmaster tools? Thank you!

Need help understanding search filter URL's and meta tags
Good afternoon Mozzers, One of our clients is a real estate agent and on that site there is a search field that will allow a person to search by filtered categories. Currently, the URL structure makes a new URL for each filter option and in my Moz reports I get the report that there is missing meta data. However, the page is the same the filter options are different so I am at a loss as to how to proper tag our site to optimize those URL's. Can I rel canonical the URL's or alt rel them? I have been looking for a solution for a few days now and like I said I am at a loss of how to properly resolve these warning messages, or if I should even be concerned with the warning messages from Moz (obviously I should be concerned, they are warning messages for a reason). Thank you for your assistance in advance!

URL paramters and duplicate content
Hello, I have a 2-fold question: Crawl Diagnostics is picking up a lot of Duplicate Page Title errors, and as far as I can tell, all of them are cause by URL parameters trailing the URL. We use a Magento store, and all filtering attributes, categories, product pages etc are tagged on as URL parameters. example: Main URL:
Moz Pro | | yacpro13
/accessories.html Duplicated Title Page URLs: /accessories.html?dir=asc&order=position
/accessories.html?mode=list
/accessories.html?mode=grid
...and many others How can I make the Crawl Diagnostics not identify these as errors? Now from an SEO point of view, all these URL parameters are been picked up by google, and are listed in WedMaster Tools -> URL parameters. All URL parameters are set to "let google decide". I remember having read that Google was smart enough here to make the right decision, and we shouldn't have to worry about it. Is this true, or is there a larger issue at hand here? Thankas!0 -
Does the page authority data also considers the on page factors like the presence of keyword in the title, meta text, and keyword frequency ??
The moz difficulty score considers four factors for the top websites. are the on page factors included in the page authority data ?

Does Google have a direct link with facebook and twitter?
Google monitor social media. What I'm wondering is do Google use the same tools we have on Facebook's API, Twitter's API etc to use in their SERPs Or do Facebook grant Google more detailed access to see who has liked links etc. I think it's quite an interesting point as surely I can push up my own count by repeatedly sharing my own links, which wouldn't be genuine. If Google had better access they could then determine what's been faked etc.

Why can't I add my facebook page to SEOMOZ? Also having other facebook issues.
Hi, I have no trouble adding my twitter page in SEOMOZ, but its giving me an error when I try to load my facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Eugene-Computer-Geeks/226660334011653 . I also tried adding my personal facebook page which is tied to the Eugene Computer Geeks facebook page, but SEOMOZ wont accept that either. My business facebook page is tied to my personal account, and its also not showing up on the facebook search. Any idea how I can make my business show up? I wish I could just start over fresh and have my buinsess setup with it's own facebook account. Thanks.

Why would Open Site Explorer say some internal links are images when in the source code they're text?
Hi, All! I was looking at OSE for one of my client's site's pages, and I saw that all internal links were said to be images. I was pretty sure their menu was CSS, and all the links were text. So I did "fetch as Googlebot" and looked in the resultant code of one of the homepage to see the main navigation bar. The navigation link for one of those pages looked like this: `onmouseover="doMenu2on(this);">[](http://www.mysite.com/solution_sub.asp?ID=8)` [``` <code>![](images/arrow6.gif)Anchor Text Here</code> ```](http://www.mysite.com/solution_sub.asp?ID=8) ``` The nav link for a page that does show internal anchor text in OSE looks like this: onmouseover="doMenu2on(this);">[](http://www.mysite.com/solution.asp?ID=5) [```

<code>Anchor Text Here</code> So there is an image in the link (it's the little arrow before the text to indicate a sub-category), but the anchor text comes right after it. Is Linkscape (and therefore potentially Google) seeing them as two different links to the same page and only counting the first? But it's all wrapped within the same <a></a>tags. Any ideas on if this is a bug in Linkscape, or a real issue, and what should be done? Thanks! Aviva``0
