Alternative to Moz Content?
-
Hi,
Looks like moz content is really gone
Does anyone have an alternative that does sort of the same thing?
-
Hi Jason,
Like Thomas and Sean, I think a lot of BuzzSumo. It's a product many brands have come to trust for content ideation and insight. I think it has the most value as a tool to see what content types you might want to consider for your vertical, in addition to helping you better discern what competitors are doing that you aren't.
For me, BuzzSumo is a great starting place, especially for brands who're eager to nail three key elements of content marketing:
- What content is performing best across the web, and why?
- What content is performing best in our vertical?
- What types of content performs best?
I'd certainly recommend giving BuzzSumo a try. It's an excellent product.

if you were a Moz content user and paid for it obviously you get 50% off of BuzzSumo for six months I believe.
I wish they would keep it around me honest I like it I was going to recommend scribecontent.com but they are now only offering it to hosting subscribers.
I would use

https://moz.com/blog/content-shares-and-links-insights-from-analyzing-1-million-articles

ohh thats sad
btw how come ?

Hey Jason,
Check out something like BuzzSumo if you haven't already - it's a pretty powerful database of content marketing metrics and should help you understand what content has worked previously within your niche and why.
It's also got a pretty hefty influencer database which you can freely extract, even within the free trial period.
Failing that, I think Ahrefs has an almost identical content/influencer database which can be freely extracted also.
Regards,
Sean

Hi Jason,
Though Tawny has already suggested an article for you to check the other options.
From your profile, it looks that you haven't really participated in the Moz community yet. I would suggest getting involved in the community for some great content marketing ideas and references to content marketing tools.
Feel free to respond if you have further questions.
Regards,
Vijay

Moz bot has trouble crawling Angular JS - I believe it's seeing the SPA (Single Page Application) before Universal. Anyone else have this issue? What is the fix?
The Moz bot user agent detection settings are able to read Universal, but the Single Page Application (SPA) version partially loads on the website before Universal. Because of this, Moz (and possibly search engines) think we have massive duplicate content issues. For example, the crawl report said a particular product page (which has about 1,000 words) has 33,000 words and has duplicate content with over 300 other pages. This makes me believe it's only picking up the SPA version. Has anyone come across this, and what would be the fix?

Moz Crawl Report Increase in Errors?
Has anyone else noticed a huge increase over the past couple weeks in crawl issues in their dashboards? Without being able to see historical data week over week, I can't tell what's been added. Is this some update with the tool? I'm not seeing any health issues with this feature on the Moz Health page, it just seems strange that I'm seeing this across all our accounts.

Www and non www / duplicate content / redirects / www resolve issue
I am not getting docked for these specific errors, but I am getting docked for 1 page has a WWW resolve issue and 1 wrong URL in the sitemap... (SEM Rush) but when I use moz, it's not showing any issues. So I have these things set up so far: In .htaccess i have a command that removes the www. 301 redirect from www version to the non www (homepage) canonical on index.html pointing to non www version, I also set up a canonical tag for each page on the site search console with non www, www, https www, https non www all set to non www preference. Also, when I fetch the www version in google search console it says it's being 301 redirected to non www version which is basically what I want.Is there anything that i'm missing? These errors on SEM Rush are giving me anxiety lol.

Has anyone had to deal with Moz crawl issues on their Zendesk support site?
If so - how did you end up resolving them? For instance we have 85 "temporary redirect" errors from our Zendesk support site in our crawl error report and we don't have access to the robots.txt file through Zendesk.

I have been unable to use the export button on any of the Moz pages.
Every time I click the export button on the upper right portion of the page, it says "preparing to export", but either nothing is exported or a blank document is downloaded. I was specifically working with the Fresh Web Explorer but have noticed this on all pages. Is anyone getting this export function to work?

Moz crawl sees meta description but there are none
I have a new site I have run a starter crawl on. The crawl came back saying some of the pages do indeed have meta descriptions. When I go to the same page and use the Moz Chrome toolbar it says they do not have meta descriptions. I also know they do not have meta descriptions. Are there any instances in which the Moz crawler would see them when they are not there?
