Should I redirect my HTTP to my HTTPS ?
-
I am about to make a domain name change for my online shop.
I have heard that redirecting my HTTP to my https is a good SEO Practice.
I have www, non-www, as well as https-www and https-non-www declared in Search console. Both have non-www set as preferred domain.
Is the redirect rule from HTTP to https really usefull ?
Thanks

HTTPS during or after redesign
Performing a website redesign and with that we are going to be deindexing a lot of pages and make big changes to the site architecture. With all of these big changes happening with the redesign, should we include the change to https during the redesign or about 4-6 months after? If we do it after we will have time to diagnose any shortcomings of the redesign. Thanks!

301 redirect on Windows IIS. HELP!
Hi My six-year-old domain has always existed in four forms: http://www**.**mydomain.com/index.html http://mydomain.com/index.html http://mydomain.com/ http://www.mydomain.com My webmaster claims it’s “impossible” to do a 301 redirect from the first three to the fourth. I need simple instructions to guide him. The site’s hosted on Windows running IIS Here’s his rationale: These are all the same page, so they can’t redirect to themselves. Index.html is the default page that loads automatically if you don’t specify a page. If I put a redirect into index.html it would just run an infinite redirect loop. As you can see from the IIS set up, both www.mydomain and mydomain.com point to the same location ( VIEW IMAGE HERE ) _Both of these use index.html as the default document ( VIEW IMAGE 2 HERE ) _

ISAPI Redirect in httpd.ini doc
Hi folks, Due to working on a site older than myself, I find myself in a position whereby I need to set up some redirects in the httpd.ini document. I had wrongly assumed this would be in the same way as I would in htaccess, but alas, no dice. There's nothing special about what I'm trying to do, but I think the expressions are what are confusing me. I'm trying to redirect this example page - http://www.example.com/subfolder/DisplayArticle.asp?ID=12345 to it's subfolder http://www.example.com/subfolder/. Here's what I have: [ISAPI_Rewrite] Redirecting old article to new locations RewriteRule ^/subfolder/DisplayArticle.asp?ID=12345 /subfolder/ [R=301,L] Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks Matt
