Did Google Ignore My Links?
-
Hello,
I'm a little new to SEO, but I recently was featured (around 2 yrs ago) on some MAJOR tech blogs.
For some reason however, my links aren't getting picked up for over 2 years - not even in MOZ, or other link checker services. - By now I should have had amazing boost from this natural building, but not sure what happened?
This was completely white hat and natural links.
The links were after the article was created though, would this effect things? - Please let me know if you have any advice! - Maybe I need to ping these some how or something? - Are these worthless?
Thanks so much for your help!
Here's some samples of the links that were naturally given to http://VaultFeed.com

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2013/09/16/microsoft_mocks_apple_in_vids_it_quickly_pulls/
And a LOT more...
Not sure if these links will never be valid, or maybe I'm doing something completely wrong? - Is there any way for Google to recognize these now, and then they'll be seen by MOZ and other sites too?
I've done a LOT of searching and there's no definitive advice I've seen for links that were added after the URL was first indexed by Google.

Congratz on the publicity! Those are some great links!
Unfortunately though, Google may be ignoring them because they contain the tag rel="nofollow" which basically tells Google (and other search engines) not to follow it. The Daily Mail one definitely does, so I would check the others too. Many big publishers will nofollow external links, as they can't "vouch" for what they're linking to and don't want to risk the association.
Though the mention of your site, even with a nofollow link, isn't without benefit to your website! The Daily Mail one alone has a page authority of 51 and a domain authority of 94, so being linked to from there is impressive. It puts your website in a "good neighbourhood", so to speak. But just not as SEO-effective as it would have been if it were followed.
If the link doesn't contain the rel="nofollow" tag then it doesn't matter if the link was added after Google first indexed it. If Google crawls the page again, after the link was added, it would count it.

Content Internal Linking ?
Should we internally link new content to old content using anchor tags (keywords) related to pages from all new blogposts or should be keep rotating the blogposts like link from some blog posts & not from others. What ratio should we maintain. Right now i keep 2 links maximum from a 300 words posts or 3 in 500 words posts maximum. But linking from each new blog posts will be good?

Client is paranoid about Google penguin penalty from getting links from a new website they are building
We have a client that is creating a new promotional website that consists of videos, brands and product reviews (SITE B). After a visitor watches a video on SITE B they will be given a "click to purchase" option that will lead them to the original website (SITE A). Our client is paranoid that since all the outgoing links on the new SITE B are going to the original SITE A there might be algorithm penalty (for one website or both). I find this very unlikely and even recommend "no follow" coding for a peace of mind. However are there any resources/links out there that can back up my argument that they will be alright? Thanks

PR links
Its seems that at lot of or competitors are using PR site to place articles with links. They are using the same article across many sites with the same anchor text link - But they seem to be doing very well in the rankings.... I have steered away from this type of linking as I assumed Google wouldn't be keen on this type of activity but I seem to be wrong.... Any views on this?

Subdomain Metrics Links??
I have been analysing my companies website against our competitors and we beat them hands down on everything apart from the total links in the subdomain metrics. Our competitor jumped above us a couple of months ago to grab the number one spot for our industries most valuable keyword. They have had a new website designed and after looking at the source code and running it through SEO MOZ in comparison to our site I can't see how they have manged to do it. We beat them hands down on all factors apart from subdomain metrics > Total links where they have twice as many. When it comes to Page Specific Metrics and Root Domain Metrics we easily beat them on all factors. Does anyone have any ideas what I need to do to improve the subdomain metrics? Thanks

Linking Within Website
Hello - I have about 10 landing pages that I am focusing on ranking for and I'm doing okay. My question is should I have all these pages on a drop down menu from my home page or is the innerlinking too much? http://www.kasplacement.com

Do search engines only count links that have google analytics?
I am reading a thread right now and I came across this statement: Search engines can view clicks only if websites have Google analytics or some toolbar installed. Obviously that's not the case with over 50% of the websites. That's why I don't agree with your comment. True or False?
