If I get multiple links from one domain, will that help my rankings?
-
Hello,
I have developed a relationship with a blogger in my niche. He has published a guest post of mine with a link back to my site. Does it make sense to keep providing him with content to build different links from different pages within the same root domain?
Thanks!

Thanks very much, everyone. I appreciate the in-depth thought.

Hi Ricardo -
I definitely agree with Donna's answer about whether it is a good strategy or not (yes, these additional links to new pages can definitely help) from a pure link acquisition perspective. I would, though, encourage you to think of it beyond just the links that you are receiving.
Think about it as an ongoing relationship and a way to continually get in front of their audience. Build your name there (and get whatever referral traffic and links you can), then use that to get columns on bigger publications that have more traffic. I know of quite a few agencies/businesses that have built their client roster or customer list off the back of consistent content marketing like this.
It's the deep not wide content strategy, and IMO works best long term.

Hi Donna,
Thanks! I really appreciate the thought.

YES you can continue to benefit from additional links from the same source provided the source has a higher domain authority than you and link sources, destinations, and anchor text vary.
This should also not comprise your entire link building strategy. You need links from other reputable sources as well.

How do we get rid of irrelavant inbound links
Hi Moz Community, We were previously doing Content services and Design services. Now, we are only into design service and we have deleted all content services related pages. Our website has many inbound links coming because of the content services pages but they are not relevant to our present service anymore. Will this affect our credibility on google and other search engines? We have applied 410 code to many of these old pages. We have also redirected some of them to the wayback pages. However, they still appear as one of the popular pages. Is there any solution for this? What can we do to do away with many of these inbound links coming to our website which are not relevant anymore to our current service? Your advice is so much appreciated. Thanks!

Do I get any link juice from a PHP header redirect from another site?
For example would: www.site-A.com/click-tracking.php?site=www.site-B.com contain any link juice? Would a 301 redirect be the simple solution?

Can changing our links page make our rankings drop through the floor?
Hi all, When I first started at my current job, most of the link building (aside from submitting to free directories left, right and centre) was replying to every spammy reciprocal email and adding them to our links page! Now we're all a bit wiser about such matters (thanks SEOMoz!), I want to get our links page turned into something actually useful. My plan was to get it neatly categorised, with recommendations, cut out unrelated links that would be useless to visitors and call it something like "Our Friends" I thought this might be useful for future link building efforts, but in its current state, it's a complete mess. However, I am worried about cutting out a lot of links if they have been reciprocal ones. Are the sort of sites that would be sending typical spammy link exchange emails for window installation in NY likely to notice our UK education site taking away their link six months later and take away ours? If they do, will losing links from these sites harm us? Perhaps more importantly, is my plan a terrible idea in the first place? Look forward to hearing from y'all!

Link Churn - where have all my links gone?
I am sure most of you have asked yourself the question I'm asking right now.. Where have all my links gone? I am starting to get twitchy now. I would estimate we have lost around 60% of our links in the past 3 weeks. Does anyone have any comeback stories? Feel like I am back to the start again. I have made a number of changes on the site not least removing a reciprical link page.. that had over 200 links on it but from reading one of Rand's tweets is it true that linking out could be good again?

Natural Link Profile - Ranking Signal?
Hi, Is a natural link profile a ranking signal? What is the value in a natural link profile? What is a (natural?) link graph? Is Majestic SEO the only company capable of visualizing a link graph? (I know the answers to these questions but I want to hear what SEOMoz has to say in the quasi-official standards of SEOMoz Q/A) Regards,
