99/100 in MOZPRO but content not indexed ?
-
Hi All,
I am just new to Moz pro.
We have a site that has 99/100 for its page optimisation score in Moz pro but it's still not indexed anywhere in the first 5 pages?
Any ideas what I'm missing and how to start resolving?

Thanks Jo !
The site & pages are indexed, they're just not ranking as expected.
I know we have work to do on the off page, it's just that usually once the off page is solid we see the site at least come in the first few pages somewhere, however, this site is still on page 6-7 and can't work out why.
I understand why it wouldn't be position 1-5 as those competitors are a lot stronger in terms of backlinks but the other 50 competitors in front of us have smaller, less optimised, less authoritative sites so I'm not sure what is going on.
Thank you for your article though, I will take a look at it and see how I go.
Cheers,
Jason. -
Thanks, Alick. Have you got any good resources on backlinking I should take a look at ?

Hi Jason,
Jo from the help team here.
I would recommend starting by reading this article which goes through how to investigate why your optimized page or site might not be ranking:
https://moz.com/blog/optimized-my-site-but-still-not-ranking-next-level
It starts with going through how to figure out if your site in indexed at all through Google Search Console.
Best of luck!
Jo

Hi Jason,
Your site is not indexed in Google or your site is not ranking anywhere in the first 5 pages?
If your site is not ranking and moz giving 99/100 that mean your on page optimization is perfect but only having perfect on page optimization your site will not rank in competitive market. You have to get quality backlinks in order to improve ranking.
Thanks

Duplicate Content: Marketing Page / Content Page
So I am getting duplicate content warnings on my website for my pages white paper and webinar video pages. Each white paper / webinar video page is behind a marketing form page that must be filled out. I am getting a lot of warnings that the marketing page and the content page are being picked up as duplicated content. In the past, both the marketing page and the content page were given the same title and url, the body content is not similar. My question: Is the URL / Title similarity enough to set off the duplicate content warnings and would changing one or the other solve the issue?

Why has a .cleaning domain not been indexed on Google?
One of our clients domain names is http://companyname.cleaning I've done all of the on-page SEO, submitted a sitemap to Google and am currently monitoring the analytics and data on MozPro. The next scheduled update on domain authority is the 21st of July? We must have had this on since April, the website was most likely launched at the end of March. Is it normal to wait this long for a site to be indexed and the domain authority to rise?

What's more valuable: new content or optimizing old content
We are a niche legacy print publication that's been around for close to 20 years. Recently, we combined several old sites in one new responsive site. We have over 7,000 articles -many of which are evergreen and can be repurposed when needed. Most of the old pieces although published, have not been optimized for SEO. However, as we create new pieces, we optimize them for search and social and they tend to get more organic traffic. Where we're torn is on how much we should balance our limited editorial resources between cleaning up and optimizing our extensive archive to improve our organic reach, vs. pumping out new original pieces each week. I realize that without a lot of data the answers will be varied - I guess I'm looking for a best practices approach for content publishers. If it helps at all, our main conversion goal is selling subscriptions to our print and digital publications. We know that organic traffic tends to be more engaged than our social referrals. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the magazine fulfilment business, it's tough to know which channels convert better. Thanks!

Rankings reporting showing inaccurate improve/decline/unchanged numbers
Our rankings report is showing inaccurate numbers for the improved, declined, and unchanged summary, both in the email and on the site. According to the added up numbers, we have 315 keywords in the campaign, but that's not possible as we only have 172 set up for it. The total for this section is correct, it just doesn't add up.

Results still being seen for old deleted content
Hi, Our site has a blog. We had "Categories" and "Tags" in our blog. This caused SEO chaos with Duplicate content and 404 Errors. We removed all the Categories and Tags about a month ago. Why would these issues still be showing up on Moz as errors on our Crawl Diagnostics page? Do we need to do some thing else other than just remove them from our blog. Thanks

Week ending 10/28 - zero organic results?!?!
According to my Google Analytics account - this is not correct - but SEOMoz is reporting on the dashboard that I had a 100% decrease in organic search visits - a paltry zero visits in one week. Is there a known issue or something that SEOMoz is working on?

Duplicate Content Issues with WordPress
I'm having some difficulty with a few of the sites I'm managing right now. When I run a report here, I'm getting a duplicate content issue with sites that I'm running through WordPress. Sites running on a different CMS are not getting the issue. The duplicate content is being listed as from two URL's that are identical. I checked trailing slash, spelling, capitalization, everything. It looks like the same site is being marked as two with duplicate content. Does anyone have any ideas of what could be causing this and/or what I may be able to do to resolve the issue (or if it's really something to worry about or not)? Thanks. (and thanks for helping the new guy!)
