Why is Moz Crawling More Pages Than My Site Actually Has?
-
Hi
I have a site that only has 5k pages but Moz has crawled 50K pages on the site when I initiated the site crawl. I don't exactly know why Moz is reporting me back so many pages but I was wondering why this is and if any of you out in the Moz community know anything about this.
Thanks

Hey there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here.
It's tough to say without being able to look at your Campaign directly, but I can give you a hint! If you go to All Crawled Pages and download the CSV, Column B is the Referrer URL, the page our crawler was on when it found the link to the page in Column A. You should be able to trace our steps backward to find where all these links are coming from on your site.
I hope that helps! If you're still needing some help, please write in to us at help@moz.com with all the details of your issue, and we'll do our very best to sort things out for ya.
Cheers!

MozBot Finding Duplicate Pages That Aren't Duplicate
I've been reviewing the technical audits for my campaign in Moz, and noticed I had a number of duplicate content issues that I'm not really sure how to address. When I click on the links of what the duplicates are, they are all different links that have different content/images. Based on what I was seeing other's wrote in the forum, this could be because the code base is really the same between these pages, and many of these were using query parameters (I'm assuming that is why the code is almost exactly the same across these pages), so example: website.com/tags/KEYWORD1?type=KEYWORD2 is a duplicate of website.com/tags/KEYWORD3?type=KEYWORD4 I was reading that I can use that URL Parameters area in google search console, but my search console says that the googlebot isn't experiencing issues, so I wasn't sure if that was the right move. I can't do the canonicals because these pages all have different content on them, and I know duplicate content is a big SEO issue, so I really wasn't sure what my next steps should be. Thanks for the help!

Crawl Report Internal Links Count
We recently ran a crawl report on www.phase1tech.com. Some of the pages are coming back with a large amount of 'internal links'. These 2 pages for example are showing 800 internal links: http://www.phase1tech.com/Upcoming-Events

http://www.phase1tech.com/Contact At best there are approximately 70 links on the page. Where is the 800 number coming from?0 -
Moz Crawl Test Trying to Crawl Contact Form Submit Button Location?
Moz Crawl Test for some reason is trying to Crawl a contact form Widget Submit Location. My obvious guess is that obviously the crawl cannot submit to the required fields…..I believe this because they're only kicking back these errors on the pages I have a contact form widget on. http://crawfordspest.com/pest-control/crawfords@crawfordspest.com 1412553693 404 : Received 404 (Not Found) error response for page. Error attempting to request page; see title for details. 404 Can you shed any insight to this? I'm a bit worried that I'll have to complete gut the contact form which was one of the major requests my client requested. Or in a worse scenario make all fields not required. It would let so much spam in. I have never seem anything like this at all. But I've learned a lot from Moz, and with major errors like 404 damage Domain Authority greatly. I've fixed 404 issues with newly acquired clients existing sites and tracked through Moz and the domain authority flies up once these errors are fixed. Along with fixing what Webmaster Tools through Google reports back. ..... Let me know if you have any expertise on this matter.0 -
Conversion tracking within Moz reports?
Hey guys, Quick question and apologies if this has been asked before, but is there an option within MOZ reporting (Pro) that allows you to focus on conversions for your clients? I'm finding rankings to be a very poor indicator of success. I'd much rather focus on conversions, and present this information to the client within my reports. Thanks

Is there a way to get Page Authority values included in the Crawl Diagnostic .csv export?
Would be nice to have these values included so that you can sort by Page Authority. 4uF6efx.png
