How do I disallow crawl on a directory when it's a prefix to my site's URL?
-
I am trying to disallow our media repository (hosted elsewhere, but appears as a directory on our site) from being crawled by robots but it is not a subdirectory of the site, it's a prefix.
So I need to disallow: mediabank.mywebsite.org
Not: mysite.org/mediabank
What would I need to put in my robots.txt and/or the other host's robots.txt to make this happen?
Thanks!

Hey there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here.
You'll want to add a robots.txt file for that subdomain, and then add a Disallow command to that robots.txt file. So, using your example, you'd want a file like mediabank.mywebsite.org/robots.txt that had a Disallow command for any robots you don't want crawling that subdomain.
For all user-agents, that would look something like this:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /That would stop any user-agents from crawling any pages on that subdomain.
I hope this helps! If you've still got questions, feel free to send us a note at help@moz.com and we'll do our best to sort things out for you.

Please check this old thread on the same topic @ https://moz.com/community/q/block-an-entire-subdomain-with-robots-txt

Internal Links Count in Crawl Report
My understanding of the 'Internal Links' results in a moz crawl report is that it represents the number of links on the given page that link to other pages on the same site.Assuming this is a correct assumption: We recently ran a crawl report on www.phase1tech.com. Some of the pages are coming back with a large amount of 'internal links'. These 2 pages for example are showing 800 internal links: http://www.phase1tech.com/Upcoming-Events
Moz Bar | | AISEO
http://www.phase1tech.com/Contact Then there are a number of pages coming back with 705 Internal Links, including: http://www.phase1tech.com/Dalsa-CameraLink-Cameras
http://www.phase1tech.com/Hitachi-CameraLink-Cameras At best there are approximately 70-80 links on these pages. Where are these large counts coming from? Is there a means to see what the links being reported on are? At the same time the 'Too Many On-Page Links' indicates 'No' for some pages with a high number of links, and 'Yes' for pages with a low number of links. For example: http://www.phase1tech.com/Baumer-SX-Series
Too Many On-Page Links: Yes
Internal Links: 2

Rank Tracker - URLs are Different when Exporting to CSV
When exporting to CSV in Rank Tracker, many of the URLs are reduced to the root domain instead of the full, ranking URL as seen within the tool. Right now the URLs must be copied/pasted or manually edited afterwards in the CSV. However, it doesn't happen to every item. A few of them do show the correct URL after being exported. Any idea if this is a bug or just an odd thing the export does?

Why does the Moz Tool Bar show code as HTML text for my site?
When I run my site in the Moz Tool bar, all of the page elements are read correctly except for HTML text. Sample page: http://www.lifeionizers.com/blog/alkaline-water/electrolyzed-reduced-water Instead of the text on that page, the tool shows Javascript code: /* With a very high character count for text (14,247).

Where to find one off crawl report
Hello, I don't know if I am being a bit daft but I don't seem to be able to find the area where I can request a one off crawl report anymore (rather than setting up a campaign). Can someone let me know where this is now? Thanks!

Why my on-page report card won't improve?
For my page www.homedestination.com/Minneapolis-homes-for-sale.html, Moz ranks the page as an "F" for the keyword "Minneapolis home buyers". All data in the report card is from months ago. using the "Grade my On-Page Optimization" button fails to show any updates - even after months. For example the title is actually "Minneapolis Homes For Sale| buying a Minneapolis home | Homebuyers" while Moz says it is ""Minneapolis Homes For Sale | Home Destination | Jenna Thuening" Moz says the description tag is "Realtor Jenna Theuning helping real estate buyers find Minnetonka homes for sale, owner of Home Destination. CDPE also helps with foreclosure and short sales buying." and "Minneapolis homes for sale, and Minneapolis listing, and Minneapolis upscale real estate, and Minneapolis lakeside properties provided by Home Destination"" when it is actually "Minneapolis homes for sale, and Minneapolis listing, Minneapolis home buyers, and Minneapolis lakeside properties provided by Home Destination." Additionally, my weekly ranking reports seems "stuck" and continues to show many "F" ranked keywords that have been updated for some time. Amy advice on how to see improvements?

How do I get Moz to crawl my site?
If I'm not mistaken, Moz will crawl my site once a week and let me know of any errors, notices etc.. But can I ask them to crawl once I have updated all the errors? or do I have to wait for them to do this automatically?
