Sorry for disappearing on you - any updates here?
-
Yes, Just Homepage Gets This Error, and It Still Ranks, but when we type site:domain.com It is Not Showing Homepage Meta Description. Also Clicks Got Down too From This week
-
Wait - so, the pages that Google says have been removed are still ranking?
-
yes, have checked, All pages are indexed properly, Then after I am Getting warning every 2 days
-
You're right - this will lose you traffic! If Google says that a page is blocked, that means that Google will not list it on its results pages.
Have you checked to see if there's a noindex tag on the pages that Google says have been removed?

Disavow everything or manually remove bad links?
Our site is likely suffering an algorithmic penalty from a high concentration of non-branded anchor text that I am painstakingly cleaning up currently. Incremental clean-ups don't seem to be doing much. Google recommends I 'take a machete to them' and basically remove or disavow as much as possible, which I am now seriously considering as an option. What do you guys recommend, should torch the earth (disavow all links with that anchor text) or keep it on life support (slowly and manually identify each bad link)?

How to remove a thin site penalty
Wondering if anyone could help out. A while back I made an affiliate store using wordpress and merchants products feeds. I didn't get found to adding any unique content to the site and, as was to be expected, I gained a penalty and my search traffic died. A few months back I redesigned the store, still using merchant csv but now with 98% unique content on each page. However, try as I may I still cannot get anywhere in the engines. The domain doesn't even rank for it's own name!! I have submitted reconsideration request but they have replied saying no penalty on the site. The domain is www.digitalcatwalk.co.uk. While the domain isn't massively strong I would prefer not to have to start again as I feel it is a very good domain name. Any advise would be most gratefully received. Thanks Carl

How to properly remove 404 errors
Hi, According to seomoz report I have two 404 errors on my site. (http://screencast.com/t/2FG8fA1dvGB) I removed them from google webmasters central about 2 weeks ago (http://screencast.com/t/MQ8XBvrFm ) , but they're still showing as an error in the next report (weekly update). Is there anything else you do about 404 or just remove urls through gwc? Or maybe seomoz data is delayed? Thanks in advance, JJ

Lots of overdynamic URL and crawl errors..
Just wanted some advice. SEOmoz crawl found out about 18,000 errors. The error URLs are all mainly URLs like the one below, which seem to be the registration URL with a re-direct on, going back the product after registration: http://www.DOMAIN.com/index.php?_g=co&_a=reg&redir=/index.php?_a=viewProd%26productId=3465 We have the following line in the robots file to stop the login page from being crawled: Disallow: /index.php?act=login If I add the following, will it stop the error? Disallow: /index.php?act=reg Thanks in advance**.**
