Job Rich Snippets
-
How does this page get a Rich Snippet, there is no microdata or schema code?
-
Wow - never knew that - Thanks!

A page does not have to contain semantic markup to display rich snippets. Semantic markup will help Google determine what your page is about, but if Google can determine what your content is about without semantic markup, it will display rich snippets if they feel it will be useful for searchers.

Disallow: /jobs/? is this stopping the SERPs from indexing job posts
Hi,
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | JamesHancocks1
I was wondering what this would be used for as it's in the Robots.exe of a recruitment agency website that posts jobs. Should it be removed? Disallow: /jobs/?
Disallow: /jobs/page/*/ Thanks in advance.

Rich snippets not appearing in SERP
We implemented rich snippets for People listings about 2 months ago, and they haven't shown up in SERPs yet. I followed all of the advice listed here, and everything seems to be working and being crawled correctly. I'm not sure what else to try at this point. Here is an example page that should be showing snippets: http://www.travelleaders.com/travel_agent/Agent-Details.aspx?id=6982 Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Schema.org snippet for thumbs up-down reviews
Hi guys, I'm deep into the Schema.org meta-tags implementation for the reviews on my website and I'd love to know how do you think I should implement it when I have Positive-Negative reviews as opposed to star ratings. I couldn't find a site that had this with schema tags for reference. Fiverr used to have thumbs up/down, but recently changed to star rating. On our services marketplace we allow users to review the providers they worked with and ask them for a positive-negative review - thumbs up/down with an additional open text area. I thought about adding a schema.org meta-tags like this: Lets assume one of our providers got two reviews, one is positive and the second is negative. So, first I thought about adding an aggregateReview meta-tag on top, just like this: And also add a meta-tag for any review, like this: Two days ago by

Joe is a great guy, I'd recommend him to my friends. Does that make sense? Has anyone had the chance to implement a schema.org meta tags for this kind of situation or familiar with a website who does it that way? Thanks so much for your help! Shaqd0 -
How to prevent 404's from a job board ?
I have a new client with a job listing board on their site. I am getting a bunch of 404 errors as they delete the filled jobs. Question: Should we leave the the jobs pages up for extra content and entry points to the site and put a notice like this job has been filled, please search our other job listings ? Or should I no index - no follow these pages ? Or any other suggestions - it is an employment agency site. Overall what would be the best practice going forward - we are looking at probably 20 jobs / pages per month.

Any advice for setting up a Job Board?
Hi- I've got a big client who is setting up an in-house job board, ie. as part of their own site. They are a diverse company that offers a wide variety of roles across the whole country. The software they have chosen to use is not in any way SEO-focused. Therefore I'll need to recommend some modifications to the sitemap created by the web design team, within the time and budget available to me. At this stage I am thinking along the lines of determining the major geographical areas and job sectors and creating summary (landing) pages such as /jobs/california/electrical-engineering which contain any currently available roles for that geo+sector. I've tried to find guidance on job board SEO optimization or even case studies but haven't found much at all. This seems useful though: http://www.jobboardmount.com/cm/features/seo_dashboard Does anyone have any tips or links to useful information on job board SEO? Thanks in advance! Jules

On-Site Optimization Tips for Job site?
I am working on a job site that only ranks well for the homepage with very low ranking internal pages. My job pages do not rank what so ever and are database driven and often times turn to 404 pages after the job has been filled. The job pages have to no content either. Anybody have any technical on-site recommendations for a job site I am working on especially regarding my internal pages? (Cross Country Allied.com)
