Searchability Strategy
-
We recently had a technical SEO audit carried out and it highlighted how many clicks it took to get to many of our pages (more than 4)).
Does anyone have advice on how to create a structure for our pages to avoid this or recommend any articles I can read?

@Caroline_Ardmoor and does the SEO audit mention click distance from pages? It'd not the number of clicks that matter it's the click distance. Click distance from home pages to other pages will determine which pages after home page will index after. So, ask those who did it for you to elaborate on this. What you will want is to ensure page 1 to page 2 is the least clicks. Then the next page of importance must have more clicks then the second page and so on and so forth. https://www.searchenginejournal.com/seo-and-click-distance/3851/

We are running up against a technical url structure issue with the addition of eCommerce pages . We are hoping you can point us in the right direction. We operate a printing company so all our current product info page are structured like: website/printing/business-cards
website/printing/rackcards
website/printing/etc The ecommerce functionality needs to go into a sub folder but the question is what should we name it? this how the urls would look like in the main category and product pages
/business-cards
/business-cards/full-uv-coaing-both-sides we were thinking either going with /order
website/order/business-cards
website/order/business-cards/full-uv-coaing-both-sides or maybe shop/ or/print-order/ etc Any ideas or suggestions?0 -

How do you report SEO audit findings?
Hello, Mozzers! I'm curious to know how you report SEO audit findings. Do you use a spreadsheet? A presentation? A formal report? Or maybe something else. If you have a favourite audit template, I'd love to see it. A second question: what things do you report in an audit? I currently report crawl findings, authority and trust, link profiles, and competitive analysis. I also investigate a site's security—that's not usually part of an audit, but site owners need to know about it. What do you report to your audit customers? Thanks for sharing your auditing wisdom!

Backlink Redirection as Backlink Building Strategy?
Just checking in - i'm working on a site with tons of broken backlinks from high authority sites. For instance, I've discovered that some 90% of their backlinks are broken, and these are from highly recognizable, name brand magazines, newspapers, blogs and the like. Right now, the site has a Domain Authority of 48 (better than most in the industry from what i am learning) yet as the site has been around for years and has gone through 5 redesigns, there is an absolute ton of solid inbound backlinks that are getting 404's. Using Screaming Frog (list mode) I've also learned there are a ton of 301's that turn out to be redirecting to 404 pages so that also starts to add up. I always knew this was a problem / opportunity and I've always considered it a high priority to fix (301) broken links of this sort to improve ranking (you know, using htaccess or WordPress Redirection tools) -- and to avoid multiple redirects wherever possible. In fact, I consider it a basic all-win, no-lose strategy. I always assumed this was the case and I also assume this will continue to be so. However, as a professional, I always want to double check my assumptions every now and then... Is this still considered solid strategy? Are there any issues that one should look out for?

What is the best strategy for a company in various countries?
Hello I have to make yt SEO marketing strategy for a company that provides services in Spain, Colombia and Mexico
Technical SEO | | interficto
I'm looking at two options: Buy different domains (TLD): This option seems feasible but very expensive and manage each domain position it would have to have different content in each (plus you would not know that because it is put exactly the same domain) Place each service and country folders eg
www.dominio.com / mexico / training-financiero.html
www.dominio.com / espana / training-financiero.html I have understood that option 1 is no longer necessary since you can use html tags within the code to tell Google that you try to target content to customers from a different country.
In principle we would use the same content would change only a few words and of course the currency to suit the local currency of each country. However I believe that customers could rely more on a domain if their country. Plus I'm afraid I google indexed as duplicate content is another matter What country would main that could confuse the visitor?0 -
Strategy for retiring brand
Hi guys, I have a client who bought over a fairly well known competitor. They now want to amalgamate the brands and redirect visitors from the competitor's site to their site. There is a healthy volume of organic search queries for the competitor's name. I was thinking about the following strategy: Email all subscribers to let them know about the change Use a meta refresh redirect on the competitor's site to explain about the move After a set period, remove this meta refresh and replace with a 301 redirect Use a canonical tag on the competitor site assigning value to the main brand Set up a landing page on the main site that's optimised for the competitor's brand name and explains about the move. Do you think that this is a good strategy for managing the transition? Thanks!
