Product photo links appear in search results
-
Since I'm new, I don't have any information. Product photo links appear in the search results. Is this a problem? because when you click on the link, it does not take you to a page, but to a blank page with only a photo. What should I do for this situation?

Hi there!
If product photo links are appearing in search results and you want to manage or control this, here are a few strategies:
-
Review Your SEO Settings: Check if your website’s SEO settings or meta tags are unintentionally allowing image URLs to be indexed.
-
Use
robots.txt
: You can block search engines from indexing specific images by adding rules to yourrobots.txt
file. For example:User-agent: * Disallow: /path-to-your-images/
-
Implement
noindex
: Add anoindex
directive in the meta tags of your pages if you don’t want certain images to appear in search results:<meta name="robots" content="noindex">
-
Use Image Sitemaps: Manage how images are indexed by creating an image sitemap and submitting it to search engines.
-
Check Google Search Console: Use Google Search Console to request removal of specific images from search results if needed.
If you have specific concerns or need more detailed help, feel free to provide more details!
Hope this helps!

When product photo links appear in search results, they increase visibility and visually engage potential customers. These links typically display product images directly in search engine results, providing instant visual information that may influence purchasing decisions. Optimizing your product images and ensuring they comply with search engine guidelines can help improve click-through rates and overall online sales performance.

check in robots.txt or if you using any plugin check setting.

If your product photo links show up in search results but lead to blank pages with only a photo, it might be a problem. To fix this, make sure each product link directs users to a full page with detailed information, not just a photo. Check your website's setup to ensure links are correctly configured. If needed, consult with a web developer or SEO expert to resolve the issue quickly. Good luck!

Google Capital - Antitrust Conspiracy
I think we all have heard about Thumbtack breaking the rules w/ badges. Getting deindexed, then getting a 100M injection from Google capital and having the penalties removed: https://techcrunch.com/2014/08/20/service-marketplace-thumbtack-raises-100m-round-led-by-google-capital/ Our primary competitor is a different marketplace backed by Google Capital. Does anyone know of any low frequency products (reliant on SEO) backed Google Capital that has not won out within search? (i.e. is there any hope of competing against a low frequency marketplace after they have Google Capital backing?)

Is page speed important to improve SEO ranking?
I saw on a SEO Agency's site (https://burstdgtl.com/search-engine-optimization/) that page speed apparently affects Google ranking. Is this true? And if it is, how do I improve it, do I need an agency?

Google Search Results Flip-Flop
For a site we manage, Google can’t seem to decide which of two pages to present for a search for “skid steer attachments.” Almost weekly, it flip-flops from the home page to an interior page (which is a shopping cart category page that we have not actually optimized for the phrase.) The site is berlon.com. Have any of you had a similar experience and, if so, how did you address it? I’ve attached a Moz screen shot that shows the changes. mNfmJoY

Duplicate content on Product pages for different product variations.
I have multiple colors of the same product, but as a result I'm getting duplicate content warnings. I want to keep these all different products with their own pages, so that the color can be easily identified by browsing the category page. Any suggestions?

Paid Links - How does Google classify them?
Greetings All, I have a question regarding "Paid Links." My company creates custom websites for other small businesses across the country. We always have backlinks to our primary website from our "Dealer Sites." Would Google and other search engines consider links from our "dealer sites" to be "paid links?" Example:
Technical SEO | | CFSSEO
http://www.atlanticautoinc.com/ is the "dealer site." Would Google consider the links from Atlantic Auto to be a "paid link," and therefor have less of an impact for page rankings, due to it not being organic? Any insight on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!0 -
Too many footer links?
Hi. We're working on http://www.gear-zone.co.uk/ at the moment, and I was wondering what's everyone's opinion on footer links. There's quite a lot on the page, and I was wondering if there might be a few too many. If so, what would be the best plan of action? Remove them altogether, stick them in an iframe or in a bit of JS so they can't be crawled? Thanks!
