Results still being seen for old deleted content

Hi,
Our site has a blog. We had "Categories" and "Tags" in our blog. This caused SEO chaos with Duplicate content and 404 Errors.
We removed all the Categories and Tags about a month ago.
Why would these issues still be showing up on Moz as errors on our Crawl Diagnostics page? Do we need to do some thing else other than just remove them from our blog.
Thanks

I'm not sure what you mean by "removed them from your blog," since most blogs have categories and tags to help with internal navigation and organization.
It may be that they are still in your sitemap; so check your sitemap. The other issue is time. It takes awhile for spiders to catch-up with your site.

Duplicate Content in WordPress Taxonomies & Noindex, Follow
Hello Moz Community, We are seeing duplicate content issues in our Moz report for our WordPress site’s Tag pages. After a bit of research, it appears one of the best solutions is to set Tag pages to “no index, follow” within Yoast. That makes sense, but we have a few questions: In doing this, how are we affecting our opportunity to show up in search results? Are there any other repercussions to making this change? What would it take to make the content on these pages be seen as unique?

Reclaim lost links to old pages?
We recently moved our site to a new CMS and did a complete redesign, with new content. It's really hit our SEO. Open site explorer is telling me there are lots of 404 web pages which were basically old product pages that no longer exist, since the way we have structured the site has changed. So is it worth trying to reclaim these links? If so, how can I do that without building pages at the URL - will a 301 redirect be enough?

Duplicate Content being caused by home page?
Hello everyone, I am new to SEOmoz and SEO in general and I have a quick questions. When running a SEO Web Crawler report on my URL, I noticed in the report that my home page (also known as my index page) was listed twice. Here is what the report was showing: www.example.com/ www.example.com/index.php So are these 2 different urls? If so, is this considered duplicate content and should I block crawler access to the index.php? Thanks in advance for the help!

Is there a Tool to compare Duplicate content for non web Live content?
Is there a tool that can give me % of duplicate content when comparing two pieces of content that are not Live on the web? Like copyscape but for content that may not be indexed by copyscape or not live on the web? Does Word or any other program allow you do do this?
