The first 5 or what? How many words in page title = revelancy for onpage seo?
-
I don't know I. I don't have a description.
-
It depends whats in the content of the page. All words will count, but as some others have said you could be diluting by putting too many in there.
Don't stuff, make it readable, make it likeable (from a customers perspective) and choose your title carefully.
Make sure it is relevent to the page content, otherwise you are taking 2 steps backwards.
Keep it to one or two main keywords per page.
-
Keyword - brand
or
Brand - Keyworddont keyword stuff, also i believe that your keyword is diluted if you have too many words. if your keyword is 2 words and the title is 3 words, then you are using 66% of the toitle, if you have 10 words then you are only using 20%. Keep it short
Having a long spamminfg title will not help you get conversions either. People like a nice neat to the point title to click on. -
I personally use only the first 2-3 words in the title tag for on-page optimization. After that the keywords are to diluted to count - but this will depend a lot on the competition, content and other signals. I usually use the first 2-3 and the rest is 100% for users to increase navigation feel and CTR not for engines.
There are cases I use deliberately titles longer then 70 chr if the user will benefit from that title.
I am also 100% against a keyword metatag like flow within title: keyword1, keyword2, keyword 3 and so on.
Anyway, is just an opinion.

You only want no more than 70 characters. You also want a meta description, keyword aren't really useful.

Building a new page: What on-page SEO would you build in?
Hi all, Building a new page for a fairly competitive keyword. Need to make sure the on-page SEO is pretty top notch, because link building (including internal links) will be difficult. I've optimised the meta description, the alt tags and image names, and included the keyword in the Title Tags. Not a great deal I can do with regards to optimising for mobile or considering migrating to the AMP project because this is handled externally. What else would you suggest? Cheers in advance, Rhys

Hello. Currently we have an ecommerce site that sells shoes online in France. The site is in English. Say the keyword is shoes and our page is example.com/shoes it;s perfectly fine to optimize that page for keyword of "shoes". Now, what about french keyword of shoes "chaussures" ? How do i optimize it? Should i create a different page or just edit the same page with keyword of "chaussures" in title tag etc? What is the best way to go about doing this? Thanks

Is the use of some keywords necessary to be included in many of the pages?
Hello, I have a website about SEO and webdesign. I want to ask will mentioning these two keywords in many of my articles have any benefit for particular landing pages that I have. F.e.: I have two pages: example.com/seo example.com/web-design They are optimized and have Grade A in SEOMOZ's onpage tool for their two keywords. So my question is: Will broad use of my keywords SEO and webdesign in the text, title or alt not only on my two landing pages but also in other articles of my website also help these two pages to rank higher for their keyword. I see in Webmaster Tools (http://images.seroundtable.com/google-content-keywords-1351084751.jpg) there is an option to see the content keywords in your website. May be that shows that the content in my website is more relevant to particular topic and that also can influence the ranking of my two landing pages.

Help: my WordPress Blog generates too many onpage links and duplicate content
I have a WordPress Blog since November last year (so I'm pretty new to WordPress) and the effects on ranking for some keywords are really good. So I thought tag clouds are good. Crawl Diagnostics tell me now that I have too many onpage links for example my author page breaks the record: 256

http://inlinear.com/blog/author/inlinear/ I think thats because there are links for each word in the tag cloud generated ... On this page (and many other pages) WordPress displays (teasers) the beginning of each post (read more ...) producing duplicate content and even new canonical tags.... The page titles are also too long because I installed "All in One SEO Pack" and now this plugin and wordpress itself mixes titles together ... But what can I do to avoid all this. Is there a PlugIn that can help... I think millions of blogs will have the same problems... I my blog yet has very few content. Thanks for your answers :))0 -
Keyword Placement in Page Title - will changing it make a big difference?
Hiya guys I've noticed since changing my Title of my forum from: Talk Nightlife | Nightlife and Clubbing forum for the UK to Talk Nightlife | Nightlife Forum and Clubbing Guide for the UK (current) ... That its jumped from 22nd to 10th in google for term "nightlife forum" Am wondering, because of the on site optimisation tool telling me I should put the keyword to the front to something like eg: Nightlife Forum | Talk Nightlife Clubbing Guide for the UK Will changing the Keyword and putting it to front of the Title make a big difference? Your thoughts please guys Cheers Luke

Anyone done SEO with on-page ONLY?
I read this blog post: http://www.seomoz.org/ugc/let-onpage-optimization-change-your-life The author claims they have increased the visitors 50 fold doing on-page seo ONLY. So they just added content, and optimized the site structure. Anyone have seen similar results? Not outreach whatsoever, just adding content to site. Technically, this should be true, article directories has tons of visitors and they were giving out links.

Does concatenating two words make them lose their SEO value
I'm working with a client whose product titles are things like "InternetSecurity" and for branding purposes has thus far required any reference to the products be concatenated in this fashion (on page, links, URL, title tags). It seems to me that would greatly reduce their SEO relevance. Any thoughts? Thanks, Mark
