Is there any company or service that offers link disavowing?
-
Hi there, some SEO companies did some work on our site. Instead of helping us they killed us by adding some very bad links all over the web. The disavowing process is not easy at all so I was wondering if there is any company that offers this. We have almost 1000 links that we want to get rid of. Any suggestions?

Hey http://www.removeem.com/ is owned by Virante a Moz recommended company.
They are very good.
All the best,
Tom

China eh? sounds like a "particular" link network
If these Chinese links were "built" by the previous SEO company I'd ask them to remove them they'll probably have the necessary information to do that. Beyond that I would try to remove as many as possible and then go down the disavow route.

Hi there,
We have not received any message from Google but we have noticed a huge dip in rankings. Having gone through the links a lot of them are irrelevant and have been placed on suspicious sites some in countries we have nothing to do with, China for example. So yes, whether we need to disavow or remove them we really need to do something about it.

Hi Michael
Have you received a notification in Google WMT of a partial or site-wide manual penalty?
Have you seen a loss in rankings? I do offer link removal and disavow as a service so would be happy to take a look but you might find that you need to remove as many of the links as possible rather than disavow and submit a reconsideration request.
Cheers

Disavowing a .edu
I have a backlink that I found from http://onucdm.onu.edu/mt/hmlref/2010/10/see_below.html . . . it is a nofollow, so it doesn't seem to be doing much harm. But this is obviously spam. It is from a .edu, so I'm not sure what I should do. Think it's harming my site at all? In general, how do you determine what to disavow?

Spammy Inbound Links
Hello, We have been using Zendesk to manage our customer support tickets for approx 2 years. We recently noticed that the attached forum had lot's of spam comments attached to it. Promoting Viagra and the like. The system was installed as a subdomain of my site support.mysite.com We have since deleted our account with Zendesk but Moz and Google are reporting loads of inbound links to that subdomain that are all total spam with Viagra in the anchor text etc. The subdomain no longer exists and now throws a 404. Can these links still hurt me? Is there other steps I need to take? I have disavowed all the links.

Is a scholarship seen as buying links?
We work in the student loan debt industry, so providing a scholarship for our viewers makes total sense for our business. Would links to this page be seen by Google as buying links? Does this fall anywhere into gray-hat tactics? My gut tells me no because helping people with student debt is what we do. The scholarship really synergizes with our business model, but who knows..?

Disavow Links Notification
No manual actions on our sites, just Penguin related. I put in a disavow for one site in October and Webmaster Tools kept a message up for some time saying the disavow links file for that site had been updated. I put in a disavow for another site of ours last week and I've had no such message. I checked and the file is there. Was this an intentional change on Google's part? Just want to make sure something's not messed up here.

Links from random sites: Disavow?
I am looking at the links to my site from GWT. I see a bunch of random sites I've never heard of. I never made an effort to get links from these sites. Sites like | http://www.xlx.pl | Also found one porn site! Should I just ignore these or disavow them?

Do nofollow links affect link profile?
I've read that it's good to keep a natural link profile. Some naked links, some links going to our company name, some with anchor text, etc. Do nofollow links affect this link profile, or is it only followed links that are taken into account?
