Help with SEOmoz API
-
Hi guys,
I'm trying to make API requests from my webserver via PHP. I'd like to retrieve data from the SEOmoz URL Metrics API. Unfortunately I always get the error response "unauthorized" even when I copy and paste the Sample Valid API Signature generated by your system into the browser.
Is Signed Authentication not longer supported? I even tried the sample PHP Code SignedAuth.php but there's the same problem, too.
If signed authentication is not longer available, do you have a code example for the basic http authorization?
Thanks,
Brandon

Hello there! This is more of a customer service question than an SEO question, so definitely hit up our support forums at http://seomoz.zendesk.com. Specifically, the API Developer's Forum is where you should post questions about the API: http://seomoz.zendesk.com/forums/293196-developer-discussion-group. If it's account-specific, you can always write in a support question to help@seomoz.org.
I'm not familiar with PHP, but if you try to make the call using the http sample code provided at www.seomoz.org/api you should be able to get data back. If you need help with other sample code, hit up those API forums and check our the API Wiki: http://apiwiki.seomoz.org/w/page/13991133/SEOmoz-API-Home.
Hope that helps! See you on the forums.

Order of urls in SEOMoz crawl report
Is there any rhyme or reason to the order of urls in the SEOMoz crawl report, or are the urls just listed in random order?

Why does SEOMoz think I have duplicate content?
The SEOmoz crawl report shows me a large amount of duplicate content sites. Our site is built on a CMS that creates the link we want it to be but also automatically creates it's own longer version of the link (e.g. http://www.federalnational.com/About/tabid/82/Default.aspx and http://www.federalnational.com/about.aspx). We set the site up so that there are automatic redirects for our site. Google Webmaster does not see these pages as duplicate pages. Why does SEOmoz consider them duplicate content? Is there a way to weed this out so that the crawl report becomes more meaningful? Thanks!

Do you know if there is an problem with the rank Tracker on SEOmoz
My rank tracker is stating that I am not in the top 50 for my keyword which is auto insurance fremont ca. I check on bing and yahoo and i am listed as #2. Also on Google it states that my rank has gone down by 2 place but I acutally increase one from spot 12 to spot 11. Is anyone else having the same issue??

How does SEOMoz crawl sites? Does it follow the sitemap?
I only ask because in my report it returned a few "no follow" links. Was wondering how SEOMoz operates.

SEOMOZ can we trust you?
I was thinking today what are the chances that SEOMOZ can look into my campaigns and see what keywords I am targeting, strategies etc. and then sell that information to others? There has to be some type of clause when you sign up correct? But who knows because I'm not sure. Having Rand and Matt Curts talking via twitter to each other kind of concerns me. Not that I'm worried that Google will know my strategies because we don't do any black-hat linking and anything shady but how much power does SEOMOZ really have and can they leak any information to other companies or Google? Scary stuff that's why I don't put all my eggs into one basket, I spread them out. Thoughts? Thanks in advance - Brett Shaffer

An error in the SeoMoz On page note?
Hello folks, Whenever I go the OnPage link in SeoMoz some of my links show a F ranking note. And when I click in one of them to see the detail of the page rank, it shows me as an A ranking note. Do you have seen the same problem? Which note shall I rely on? Thanks!!
