Back links Building and article/blog posting

Hi all,
I have been researching the best way for back links building, and I would like to ask few questions before I start.
Which one of these tools would you recommend for back link building diagnostics.
What would be the best procedure to begin creating healthy back links? Would looking at my competitors back links help me?
What would be the recommended amount of back links created per week? Also how many blogs entries should we aim to create per week?
The website i'm working on is manvanlondon.co.uk
If you guys have any further suggestions please let me know.
Many thanks for your time.

Hi,
Yes, Justian is absolutely right, knowing your competitors is fundamental when want to do good SEO! Checking out your competitors‘ backlinks is definelty the best way to start looking for healthy link opportunities. I would go for the LRT’s competitive link detox (CDETOX). The tool checks yours and your competitor’s (up to 9) backlinks and tells you, which ones are healthy ones and which ones are not. You can sort the links by their power and their link risk, so it is a good way to decide on which sites you’d like to build a link. I think knowing if the links are bad or good ones is essential when trying to copy the competitors‘ links, caus in the end it doesn’t help having the same links as your competitors if they are bad ones!
Also the tool calculates your total link risk and your competitors‘ total link risks‘ so it is a good way to see what kind of link risk is normal in the particular niche or you can see if it is likely that some competitors will be punished by a penalty in the near future. This is also good to know when planning your own link building strategy.
Regarding the recommended amount of backlinks created per week I have to say that the most important thing here is that you link growth is steadily and increases slowly! Everything else would look highly unnatural. Of course, some seasonal fluctuations might be normal for a particular industry, e.g. a higher link growth some weeks before christmas and so on …
Hope this helped a bit.
Cheers,

Hi
First of all it is ALWAYS a great idea to know you competition, study them! And see what they have been upto and gather knowledge on how to beat them. You might even find link opportunities while doing so.
Creating healthy back links is all about quality rather then volume. Building content that your industry are interested in and what they might find helpful can lead to natural links coming from "on topic" sites.Try to figure out how to get links/mentions from authority sites, that might send you traffic as well.
There isn't a right amount of blog post to publish per week. I would put more time into each blog post to make sure the quality and likability of the content is spot on.
Great content will make people want to comeback to your block and also make them stay and read longer (That way your are sending the right signals to google as well... that you content makes people stay and read and not bounce back)

Best way to link to 1000 city landing pages from index page in a way that google follows/crawls these links (without building country pages)?
Currently we have direct links to the top 100 country and city landing pages on our index page of the root domain.
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | lcourse
I would like to add in the index page for each country a link "more cities" which then loads dynamically (without reloading the page and without redirecting to another page) a list with links to all cities in this country.
I do not want to dillute "link juice" to my top 100 country and city landing pages on the index page.
I would still like google to be able to crawl and follow these links to cities that I load dynamically later. In this particular case typical site hiearchy of country pages with links to all cities is not an option. Any recommendations on how best to implement?0 -
Effect of Publishing Blog Posts Resembling Classified Advertisements
Our site (www.nyc-officespace-leader.com) markets commercial real estate for lease in New York City. Any potential negative impact in terms of ranking and traffic by using our blog post in an unconventional manner? I am considering publishing a weekly post describing the latest commercial listings for lease. The post would be formatted and resemble classified advertising appearing in such newspapers as The New York Times. The ads are concise and appealing. Property listings drive a high click thru rate, so I believe blogs posts based on property listings and formatted like old newspaper ads might really improve visitor engagement. Each add could have a link to a corresponding listing page. Would using the blog in this manner every week have a detrimental effect or could prove beneficial? Thoughts??? lr6MIiR

How to implement three languages with a subfolder /blog on a .com domain?
Hi, I'm setting up a blog for a client that has a .com domain. The client is targeting three languages with the subfolder /de, /nl and /en. We've also established that a blog rather be used in a subfolder than subdomain. My question: How should we implement the three languages? Is this gonna be a domain.com/blog/en or domain.com/en/blog or would you maybe don't use subfolders for language at all but let a hreflang do the job?

Subdomain blog vs. subfolder blog in 2013.
Having read this ( http://www.seomoz.org/q/blog-on-a-subdomain-vs-subfolder ) & countless of blog posts on never to put your blog on a domain because a subdomain is treated as a different site & your blog traffic won't help with your main sites authority. I've always pushed for subfolder blogs. However I've been seeing a lot of blogs now and days saying that Google is now treating subdomains as the same site as your main site. http://www.brafton.com/news/subdomains-vs-subdirectories-for-seo-no-serp-benefits-for-subdomains-anymore http://webmasters.stackexchange.com/questions/34173/subdomains-vs-subdirectory-status-as-of-2012/34366#34366 ETC... What does everyone think? Is it acceptable to have a blog in a subdomain in 2013? Thanks!

What is value in a back-link from article with multiple links pointing to various other sites?
In a standard article with 400-500 words my site got a back-link. However, within the article there are 4 other links pointing to other external content as well (so total 5 links within articles all pointing to external sites, and 1 of the links is to my site). All links are to relevant external content that is. Question: wouldn't it be much more valuable for my site if only my site got a back-link from the article, as less link juice is now passed to my site, since there are 4 other links pointing to various sites from this same article? Or, is the case that given the other links are pointing to quality material it actually makes the link to my site look more credible and at the end of the day have more value. Conclusion: is it that on one hand less links in same article is better from a link juice perspective, however, from a credibility perspective it looks more convincing there are other links pointing to quality content?
