Ideal number of keywords for a text
-
Hi there! I am trying to figure out what the ideal number of my queries per copy (400 words) would be. My queries are:
lg dryer repair (volume search: 851-1k)
lg washer repair (volume search: 851-1k)
lg appliance repair (volume search: 851-1k)
lg repair service (volume search: 501-850)
lg washing machine repair (volume search: 501-850)
lg dishwasher repair (volume search: 201-500)
lg appliance repair (volume search: 851-1k)How many times do you think I might use each of those quires? Is there any algorithm to figure that out? I would appreciate very much any thought you could share with me.

Hi there, welcome to the Q&A forum!
We get a lot of questions about keyword density here in Q&A As a rule of thumb, I recommend using your primary keyword phrase a minimum of six times on a page -- once each in the title, page description, H1, and alt-image tags, as well as the first paragraph of body copy and URL. Other than that, use the keyword phrase whenever it naturally makes sense to do so. Writing for your audience first and foremost will result in the most natural, effective copy.
This blog post is an excellent primer on keyword targeting: A Visual Guide to Keyword Targeting. And if you search the forum for "keyword density," you'll find many discussions on this topic that look at the topic from various angles, including keyword stuffing.
I hope that helps!

Repeat keywords on the pages/titles
I know it is important to avoid duplicate titles and title tags, but I wanted to verify. Lets say you are a collection agency, would it be smart as a strategy to do domain.com/collectionagency/Dallas_ collection_agency and have that same key word structure for many states so many pages?

How defined does the anchor text need to be for a domain url?
Ok, I'm looking to clean up my domain with irrelevant Anchor text linking to specific URL's. Whether, it's my root domain or a particular product URL. I'm finding a wide variety of terms (anchor text) pointing to my homepage, category and finally my product pages. Example, the Anchor text "Paragon Print Systems" is pointing to my homepage "barcodefactory.com" does this hurt my homepage enough to either have the link/anchor text removed from linking to my homepage? thanks much!, Warren

Alt text / internal linking
Hi everyone A question about best practice when linking from pictures on our homepage - hirespace.com We have an option of using divs with background images (nicer in terms of design) but it means that we can't use anchor text or alt text to show Google what these internal links are about. The other option is to use images which do not allow us as much flexibility in terms of CSS but would allow us to use alt text. There is also an opinion that we should have separate text links at the bottom of the homepage to get the anchor page in. What is best practice in this situation - is alt text worth sacrificing some CSS flexibility for? How important is anchor/alt text for internal linking? Thanks guys.

Google index text that I can not find
Hello everybody, As you can see here: http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:G-iicHoDJeYJ:www.billigste-internet.dk/&hl=da&gl=dk&strip=1 Google index the text "Forside" as the H1 tag, and "Right" and "Left" as body text, on my website. But I do not want that Google indexes this. But when I look in mine source code (see here: view-source:http://www.billigste-internet.dk/) I can not find "Forside", "rigth" or "Left", so I can delete it. Is there anyone who can help me where I need to delete the text "Forside", "Right" and "Left", so Google does not index this text? Hope someone can help.

Scrolling Javascript News Ticker messing up Anchor Text.
I have a javascript scrolling news ticker on my site but it seems to play havoc with my anchor text. I like it because it scrolls through showing a new set of pages. I set it to the ones I've just uploaded and it seems to help them get followed and indexed. However when I use site explorer I can see the recorded anchor text for a link to a page is incorrect and it's taking the text from the news ticker. Even when a link has come from the news ticker url it seems to take anchor text from the ticker order list before or after. It's as if it records the anchor text and then when it follows the link to the page the ticker has changed to a new link Is this ticker bad for seo? it certainly jumbles up my anchor text, could that be a good thing? Is there an SEO friendly news ticker for newly added products?

Fixing large number of 404s
Hi Newbie SEO here.... I converted quite a massive site to wordpress (www.yourbusinesschannel.com). For a number of reasons, over 1000 pages were not converted and the URLs could not easily be preserved in any event I am now going to add these pages back by importing a large CSV into wordpress. However what is the best way to tell google that the pages are now back and at new addresses? Is it to submit a site map and get the site recrawled from scratch?
