Local business check
-
I've just done a local business listing check and it's come back with an inconsistency on the address. I can't understand where the inconsistency it as Google haven't verified the address yet. I've tried to rectify it but can't seem to correct it. Any suggestions please?

Thanks for getting back to me. This is the link.
I will also e mail moz as requested.
I realise that replicating the exact information is important and this is why I'm trying to make sure that there are no inconsistencies.
Thanks again,
Jennifer

shogajen, consistency with your local business listings is extremely important, as the Name, Address, and Phone (NAP) data should be the same on all listings. One of the ways that the search engines use as a ranking factor is that consistency: if they see another address, phone number, or company name, they might not give you "credit" for that listing or citation.
When it comes to the local business listing check, they don't only check the Google listing, other listings are checked. Also, even though your business isn't verified yet, Google will most likely have your company NAP data from another source.
In order to correct any listings, you'll need to verify the listing first, and then you should be able to log in and correct it. If it's a duplicate listing or an incorrect listing (an additional listing), then there are ways to flag listings.
The other option is to work with a service such as Moz Local, Yext, Advice Local (our service) that have direct access to update the listings at Google and other sites.

Hi there!
Could you send us an email to help@moz.com with the name, address, and phone number of your business so that we can take a look? If you have the direct Moz Local link, that would help as well. Thanks!

Moz Local Update Info
I have been working on a project, this is a local business. Recently we migrate the site, to a new domain name http://www.oldwebsite.com https://www.newwebsite.com I use Moz Local and Moz Pro to track the site Performance. Obviously when we updated the domain name the local score when from 89 to 60. So my question How many time takes to Moz Local to update the info for the main partners? If I claim a listing on a third party website, and import that listing, how many time is going to take to update? I mean there's a lot of local directories out there, and I want to build business profiles with links pointing to my site. What happens to the Mian Partners, Example I have control over the Bing Places Account. What do I need to do, 1 update the info manually or Moz local will synchronize the info Thanks for your help

MOZ not verifying my Google My Business listing
Hello Folks, Moz Local is not verifying my Google My Business Listing nor is it verifying the manual CSV upload. My Google My Business Listing and my manual CSV upload correctly display all of the same information as my Google My Business Listing and Facebook Page using the following Moz Local guidelines. The only thing that I can think of is that Moz Local is currently pulling up and older listing with a toll free number; however that has been corrected and the feed is real time, so I'm at a loss. Facebook The name, address, and phone number (NAP) listed on the page must be an exact match with the listing in Moz Local. The primary phone number listed must be a unique local number or a toll-free number. The primary page category must be “local business”. A minimum of 2 visitor check-ins are required. Not sure what to do here? Head to Facebook's resources to see how to let people check in and how you can check in. The page must be fully accessible to all potential visitors, so any restrictions based on age, location, etc. must be disabled. This can be easily checked by attempting to view the Facebook page in a Chrome incognito browser while not logged into a Facebook account; if you can view the page normally in these conditions, the accessibility should be in good shape! Google My Business The name, address, and phone number (NAP) listed on the page must be an exact match with the listing in Moz Local. The primary phone number listed must be a unique local number or a toll-free number. The business must not be listed as a “service area business”. A service area business displays with the street address being hidden, as well as the listing not being surfaced through the Google Places API (which is where we pull the listing details from). The listing must be verified by postcard. As a note, it may take a couple days after the postcard verification process for the listing to be available through the Google Places API. The listing must be completely searchable through Google Maps, with the full NAP listed correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

“keyword city” nationally vs “keyword” local in city
I'm tracking keyword “keyword city” nationally and “keyword” locally in city. Ranking for these show different position. Considering that we’re working with local businesses or businesses that service only one city and it’s surrounding areas, what would be the best way to set up campaign? Looking for suggestions. Thank you.

Which "business type" is most appropriate for MozLocal?
We are trying to select our "business type" for MozLocal. It's not clear what the implication is by choosing one over the other: brick and mortar or service area? Does anyone understand the criteria to choose one over the other, and when and how is this used by local listings? Thanks.

Moz Local: How to Update Yahoo?
Hi - I am using Moz Local and trying to update a Yahoo local listing. The Moz link into Yahoo just leads to the Yahoo (Yext) paid service for multiple citation updates. How do you claim and update a Yahoo local business page? It looks like my page was automatically fed from Yelp to Yahoo, but there is no way to update anything in Yahoo without paying their fee. Help?

What are the listings (citations) when you use Moz Local?
How do I find what the actual listings are when using Moz Local? I want to add more citations for my clients and don't want to create duplicates. _There are five main aggregators of location data that send information to local search engines: Infogroup, Neustar Localeze, Acxiom, and Factual and Foursquare. Is the info we are giving in Moz Local_* In the Dashboard...it show that "35 listings reach". but what are the actual listings? Do I need to use Whitespark to see what the actual listings are? Currently right now, I can only see like 18 listings. Any insight? Regards, Benny

Moz Local Problems
On the 9th I tried to get Moz Local, but it would not connect to the right g+ page. I've been told their working on it, but after a week...nothing. Has anyone else had this problem? if so, how long did it take for them to fix it? Thanks, Ruben P.S. Mozzers, if you respond, do not mark it as "answered." I need answers from customers who can give me a timeline from their experience. As nice as you all are, I'm over the generic support responses.
