PPC training for inhouse staff
-
Hi Mozzers,
We have an inhouse PPC marketer who is experienced in AdWords and PPC, but want to go to some good training once or twice a year.
Which seminar or conference would be the best to go to?
Thanks!
Thomas

There is an SMX Advanced conference in London in May. http://searchmarketingexpo.com/london/agenda. They have one track for advanced SEO and one for advanced paid search.
Another way to search for conferences would be to look up a couple of favorite speakers or experts in the field and see if they post their upcoming schedule.

Right on, Keri.
We are located in Denmark, but she can travel to the US if necessary. I know she is considering SMX East in the fall. But we don't know if that's the best one around?
Thanks!

Thomas,
What country is the employee in? Judging from your name, I'm guessing it's not the US, so the first idea of SMX Advanced isn't probably as appropriate as something closer might be. I'm not that familiar with European conferences, but someone else should be able to chime in with some suggestions.

Blog Post Relevance vs Traffic
Hello Moz community, I have a website (lets say that I am selling tshirts), and want to create a blog (www.website.com/blog). With that blog, I would like to post about random topics including travel, leisure, events, new products etc. I want to do this for 1. to get affiliate commissions, 2. to increase web traffic, 3. to potentially increase my domain authority. I would like to know if this blog with random posts would negatively affect my website ranking and keyword ranking (for t-shirts), as it is not relevant to the products that I am selling (and the keywords that I am ranking for). As Google currently understands that my website is a webstore selling t-shirts (and I am ranking for the tshirt keywords), but the algorithm get confused if I start posting about travel and random topics? Your help greatly appreciated in the matter.

Online SEO staff Tests
Hi, I've got a number of staff in the office that I am trying to get to learn SEO. I want to be able to test them on their ability and have already set them the SEOMOZ test: http://www.seomoz.org/seo-expert-quiz . Does anyone know of any other decent online SEO tests I can set them - I haven't really got the time to develop a test myself, so I am looking for some pre-build online testing. Thanks
