What do you want to see in a YOUMoz post?
-
My first YOUMoz post was published the other day and I got some pretty good feedback in the comments. I was wondering what topic, tip or insight would people like to see from a YOUMoz post? I want to start a new one but have some writer's block, if there's anything out there someone would really like to see, I would love to run with an idea.

Thanks for asking. A few ideas:
1. Review of link-building services or networks. Rate each on cost, size of network, page rank of network, spammyness, etc. Any of them worth the trouble, or is the whole group to be avoided as grey/black hat spam?
2. How to get .edu or .gov links.
3. Find a small site that ranks higher than the wikipedia page for the generic keyword category the small site is about, and then offer an analysis of how/why the small site is able to rank higher than such an authoritarian site for that keyword/category.
4. List of top 10 article databases offering do-follow links and their requirements, if any (min word count, links per article, is the directory human reviewed, etc).
5. How to cost effectively have video testimonials made (by actors not working at your company), and then top 5 sites to post them on once you have them.

Guest Posting- Only Relevant Websites or Not?
I am aware of the fact that guest posting needs to be done for traffic and some level of SEO juice. However, what if we have less blogs to go after in our niche? Here's a scenario. If I own a site about stock trading, there are only very few blogs about stock trading. Even if I broaden the niche and go after all finance related blogs, at one point, I'll hit a ceiling. What would you recommend now? Would you start guest posting on non relevant sites that accept guest posts? Say tech blogs and then link to your site? Would that lead to some kind of link manipulation penalty? WHat I can think of is to tie the post to something that's relevant- guest post in a technology website could be about "How Stock Trading Algorithms Can Be Built on The Cloud?". However, there is only so many articles you can write like that. Suggestions are ,most welcome.

Does Sticky Post in WordPress Have Impact on SEO?
Hi, I Have a Blog that I have attached a "sticky" post, obviously the content in the "sticky" post is the content that I want to ensure that everyone sees. I do update, by adding new posts daily or at least everyother day, my question is: Is the "sticky" post hurting, helping, or is it indifferent to SEO? I know the SE enjoy fresh content, and was wondering does that fresh content have to pop-up at the top of the page otr not. Any input would be great. Thanks. Jimmy

Just want to know if others have seen simliar results with Squidoo's organic visits
I have some old squidoo pages and yes they haven't been tended to as well as my other content that is outperforming it, and yes that could be why. So rather than asking why it is underperforming, I just want to know if anyone else has heard that Squidoo was in line for a spanking, or if anyone else has seen similar organic reductions. That way I know if it's me getting the spanking, or if it's squidoo. Thanks a mil. Tyler

Where do you job post to find someone specific like video optimizers?
So we have a job opening at our company for a video optimizer and we're looking to fill the position, but we can't seem to get anyone really qualified. If you happen to know anyone or a place to post we would appreciate the help. We're also located in LA so if you know of sites that base things off of location that would be great as well. Here's link to our current posting: http://www.makerstudios.com/jobs/video-optimizer/ Thanks!
