Total Links : 15,967
Ext. Followed Links : 2,078
Linking Root Domains : 177
Followed Linking Root Domains : 125
Linking C-Blocks : 117
Simple question, answers in English please. What are these?
-
Linking root domains refer to links from any page on the domain.
I, personally, would be somewhat careful about the foreign sites thing, especially those which may be in different languages. My view on it is that 1) You might begin to seem manipulative with your linking tactics to the SE's and 2) you might unintentionally start to pull off a bit of "international SEO" which could have consequences that, while not necessarily bad, wouldn't be the best for the issues you need to solve at hand.
That's my own view on the subject, though, so certainly don't take it as Gospel.

Thanks.
One question... For linking root domains, is that referring to links from home pages or from any page on that root domain?
So if I need trust and links and cblock links, I should find the trust seomoz sites and find ways to get inbound links....
If I were going after different c-blocks, an obvious way would be to find different foreign sites (from friendly countries) and get links from them. They are likely to be on different c blocks on a country to country basis. Beats looking it up and keeping track from whois lookups.

As Craig stated, it's a good idea to read the Beginner's Guide if you haven't already.
However, if you're just trying to make sense of the metrics you put up I'll see if I can help.
Total Links - This is the total number of links coming into a given page or domain (depending on which option you've selected to view.. page based or domain based).
Ext. Followed Links - The number of links pointing to a page which are not from your own domain (ie internal links), and do not have the rel="nofollow" attribute appended to them.
Linking Root Domains - Really it's as simple as it says. It's the number of the individual, unique root domains that are linking to a site. 2 different root domains would be something like site1awesome.com and thisisawebsite.com.
Followed Linking Root Domains - Same principle as the above "Linking Root Domains", but this one takes out all of the links from the domains which have added the rel="nofollow" attribute to those links. It only counts followed links from root domains.
Linking C-Blocks - Sort of difficult to explain. I'd recommend reading the following thread on the Search Engine Watch forums, with particular interest to the first reply. It should hopefully sum up C-Blocks for you.
Hopefully I've helped you understand the metrics better than before reading all of my chicken scratch.

Hey I recommend you read this http://www.seomoz.org/beginners-guide-to-seo there is not much point in explaining these as you won't know what to do with them if you don't already know what they are.
Read this guide it's not that long and you will have a better understanding of what's what.

Need your Opinion on Bounce Rate Analysis
I'm currently doing a bounce rate analysis for our resource pages. These are information article pages - mix of plain texts and those containing either images, infographics, videos or even podcasts. By the way, I did search for bounce rate topics here, but I felt like i still need to post this. Unless I've overlooked a similar post, my apologies. It's a first for me to do an in-depth BR analysis, so I need to clarify few things. What is a good or bad range bounce rate? Is there even a range comparison? Like when can you say a bounce rate is high for an information type page? I've read some stuff online but they're confusing. What other Analytics factors should I consider looking at together with bounce rate? For pages (which purposely educate visitors) with high bounce rate, can you guys suggest tips to improve it? I would appreciate and value any advise. Thanks a lot!

Possible penalty question - need expert help
hallo everyone, I am posting this question to the MOZ community, because I could not find any useful information or proper advice so far, even after consulting a few local SEO experts. I noticed from the end of september a steady and consistent decrease in visits (please see attached pdf) for my website https://bastabollette.it I lost so far almost 40%. Please consider that I have not changed my habits in blog posting lately, both in quantity and quality. I have not made any subtantial change on the website lately. I did a general audit of the site asking to an expert but apart from some generic suggestions (like: "work on increasing PR, add more quality backliks, use more no-follow links, fix broken links" - things I am currently going to fix anyway) I don't really understand the reason of the drop. Please also note the strange drop of 11/22/15 (see search console screenshot). Can you please help me? thank you. Selezione_018.jpg Selezione_019.jpg

Need help with excluding IP addresses in Google Analytics
In Google Analytics, are you able to add more than 1 IP address to an exclude filter? I found this article, http://www.creare.co.uk/filter-multiple-ip-addresses-in-google-analytics, but wasn't sure if it was the right way to do this or if I should create a new filter for each IP address. Also, when I try to create a new filter, it only will let me select from a list of profiles I have created whereas on other accounts I've been able to create several new filters without any problems. Does anyone know why this might be?

Tag Manager & Universal Analytics Code - Do you need both?
Hi Mozzers I've created a container for a domain in Google Tag Manager. Within that container I've created a tag for universal analytics with track type "Page view" and the firing rule "all pages". Can I then replace the Universal Analytics code with the tag manager code? Would it still track all the normal data in Google Analytics? There are no events setup up yet so that's not a concern but there are goals setup tracking which are triggered by a page view. Would they be affected? Thanks Anthony

We lost great amount of Google Traffic. Need Expert Advice, Please!
We are in the business of selling home and commercial light fixtures for about 10 years now. Our website is a very large ecommerce website with more than 40K pages including category, sub-category and product pages. We have been getting decent organic traffic mostly from highly competitive keywords and also from product/solution specific long tail keywords. Recently when Google changed the EMD algo we have seen a dip in the traffic (say about 60%). I can't be so sure that this is because of EMD update, but it started happening only after this update. There has been a rank drop from 1st page to 2nd page, decrease in no. of keywords driving traffic, decrease in no. of pages driving traffic, all these things have an negative impact on our organic revenue. I know that our back link portfolio is bad and the reason behind this is the SEO companies that we previously worked with, Thanks to them for this sloppy work. Other than back links, Is there anything fundamentally wrong on our website. Here is the URL http://bit.ly/QVFHgr

Do I need to turn off custom results or empty my cache before using the SEOMOZ Pro Rank checker?
I'm getting unusual swings in SERPS ranks from one day to another (I had several keywords ranked in top ten go to the the third or fourth page in a week). I knwo that there's always variation because of localized and custom search, but this seems to be something more.

Low bounce rate; need help troubleshooting code
I've had an outside developer do a bunch of custom work in Google Analytics to get my site to integrate with Foxycart and accurately report sales in the ecommerce section. With a foxycart upgrade came more GA tweaking, and now my bounce rate is at 1-2%. I know this isn't right, and suspecting there is something triggering GA a second time, causing a second page load, or something. Could someone that loves code look at http://www.strikemodels.com/ and tell me if they can easily spot what's obliterating the accuracy of my bounce rate calculations? Or do I need to go back to my dev and up the can of GA worms to troubleshoot things? As you can tell by the code, I'm running the latest version of WP with a few plugins, Thesis 1.8, and on Apache.
