Most effective Title Tag Structure
-
I want to target a set of keywords but I want to know which type of Title tag structure or wording is most effective?
Here are my target keywords: CMMS, CMMS Software, EAM Software, Maintenance Management Software
Do you think using exact keywords terms are most effective?
For example: Title tag: CMMS, CMMS Software, EAM Software, Maintenance Management Software
Or: Title tag: CMMS Software, EAM Maintenance Management Software
Same goes for keyword use for content and H1 tags.
Your thoughts?
Thanks,
John

Hi John
I'd agree with Paul "CMMS Software | EAM Maintenance Management Software" is the best looking structure for your title.
You might find this useful if you've not already seen it.

Definitely agree with Adam, the 2nd title structure is much more professional and will facilitate a better customer response.
Personally I use piped separation for my title tags but that's just personal preference.
CMMS Software | EAM Maintenance Management Software

John,
I would go with the second title tag you listed. It contains all your keywords in exact or phrase match, and is more professional looking.
I avoid using exact keywords when it means your title becomes a list of keywords. It looks unprofessional and I haven't seen better results by doing it. I would ensure that your most important keyword is listed first.
Another example:
Keywords: cordless phones, buy phones, discount phones
My Title Tag: Buy Discount Cordless Phones (much better than a keyword list, and works just as well in my experience.)

Qucikest and most effective way to improve DA and PA?
Hello Moz, In your experience what is the quickest and most effective way to improve a websites DA and PA? Any additional tips and side notes would be greatly appreciated. For example how hard is it to actually get a DA of 60+ - what would that require usually as an absolute minimum?

Long Title Tags
Hi guys, We have product e-commerce title tags which are over 60 characters - around 80 plus. The reason we added them in there is to incorporate

more information for Google. The format of these title tags are: Name + Colour + Rug Type + Origin Name = for people searching for the name of the rug
Color = people searching for a specific color
Type = The type of rug (e.g. normal or designer)
Origin = Where the rug is for. So this title will cover people searching for: People searching for designer rugs, the specific colour and also where it comes from. This then results in the title tag going way over 60 characters - around 80-90 characters. -- Would it be wise to try and shrink it down to under 60 characters, and what would be a good approach to do this? Dublicate Title on casting jobs site
I'm running a castingsite with jobs. On the site, there is also an archive with the jobs from the past 10 years or so. I'm experiencing lots of dublicate titles, like on "Actors needed for commercial, Copenhagen". It's really hard (impossible) to make sure, that all these title's are unique, since there is a lot of similar jobs coming in. So, my question is:
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | KasperGJ
Any ideas on how to get rid of this? I have some ideas myself, but dunno if they are good?
1. Add a JobID number to every joboffer. Like "Actors needed for commercial, Copenhagen (34343)"
2. Add a "no-index" to the joboffers which have expired" (Since people cannot apply for them anymore anyways) Basically all the archived jobs.
3. Add a Date posted on the title. Like "Actors needed for commercial, Copenhagen (15. april 2016) Hope you guys can help.

URL Parameters Duplicate Page Title
Thanks in advance, I'm getting duplicate page titles because seomoz keeps crawling through my url parameters. I added forcefiltersupdate to the URL parameters in webmaster tools but it has not seemed to have an effect. Below is an example of the duplicate content issue that I am having. http://qlineshop.com/OC/index.php?route=product/category&path=59_62&forcefiltersupdate=true&checkedfilters[]=a.13.13.387baf0199e7c9cc944fae94e96448fa Any thoughts? HTML5 Nav Tag Issue - Be Aware
In checking my internal links with GWT, it is apparent that links within the nav tag in HTML5 are discounted by Google as "internal links" This could have major repercussions for designing your internal link structure for SEO purposes. I was surprised to see this result, as I have never seen it discussed. Anyone else notice this, or have any alternative views?

What is the best permalink structure for SEO?
Your feedback here is definitely appreciated, but I'm also doing a public study and would be honored and humbled if you answered the 5 questions in my survey as well. For those who do not wish to participate, I'd appreciate your general feedback on permalink structure best practices based on what Amazon.com and eBay.com have done to their URLs in recent times. Thanks!
