Does HTTPS Only make a impact on SEO?

Hi.
I run a site that's SSL only. (Using a 301 redirect to redirect traffic from http:// to https://).
This might be a stupid question but i can't seem to find any conclusive answers to the question by searching. Does this negatively affect the search engine ranking of the site?

The site is faster than 77% of the sites online according to google. Could probably be tuned to be a bit faster i guess.
I'm going to try to tune the server a bit to make it faster, might also try to disable https on most of the site (except the billing-system) for a while to see if it has any impact on the speed according to google.

Well, since google is obsessed with speed and it's likely that the "handshake" -- I won't get that deep.
https:// and http:// are two different links. We all know that. .TLDs don't matter.. HTTPS:// doesn't matter. It's all the same. However maybe you can run a test: www.google.com/websiteoptimizer and see if the user engagement is better.
How fast is the site? Add: _gaq.push(['_trackPageLoadTime']); to your google analytics ( right after your _trackPageview ) and see how everyone else is handing it.
The bottom answer is: No. It will not effect your SERPs however if your sites not fast then thats something you should think about. I just installed: http://code.google.com/p/modpagespeed/ on my server and that does help a bit.

E-ccomerce SEO conundrum
I work on the marketing for an eccomerce website. And lately we have been having an issue with the "wrong" page ranking and the right page "being nearly unfindable." For example the product bit o honey - there is a brand page, category page and individual product pages. We want the category page to be the top level bit o honey "hub" page and have placed all of the products onto it. We've written a nice description about Bit O Honey on that page and spent time running social campaigns around that page to try and get social activity on page as well. There have even been a few back links from blogs or reviews onto that category page. It also has the highest page authority among all of the bit o honey pages. But for some odd reason it is always the absolute last result among the 3 options when i search? In fact the only time I can even find it is if I type in about 3 sentences worth of text from that page and it find exact match. I'm really pretty confused as to why the highest page authority page with the most content, activity and link profile, would have the worst ranking capability among the three nearly identical pages.

SEO impact of an iframed blog is very low ? Right or wrong ?
We're thinking about adding a blog to our site, but our CMS blogging features are not good. Someone suggested using a wordpress blog and putting it in an iframe on our site. I replied that all the SEO impact of our blogging efforts will be lost because of the iframe. I am right or wrong ? If I am right, could you suggest better alternatives ? Thanks in advance ! we are in the process or rewriting all the pages on one of our sites and will be changing some urls around. i was just wondering if dashes or underscores are better in the urls SEO wise? www.site.com/word-word-word/ or

SEO advice when making a mobile site
Hi there, I'm current working on a site that is optimized for SEO and doing quite well in the rankings. We have noticed a big increase in mobile users to the site (mainly iOS and Android), so we have no started planning a mobile site as well. Do you guys have any recommendations we should keep in mind before we get started? One thing I'm still not sure of is whether we should aim to preserve all urls and cloak the pages (show mobile version to iOS and Android, and desktop version to everyone else) OR make a separate site for the mobile version (mobile.domain.com)? SEO Impact of IPv4 and iPv6?
Thought I'd see what the asking side of Q&A feels like 😉 We've been hearing for forever that the internet is running out of IP addresses, but I finally encountered the reality of it. I just realized that one of my sites is on a shared IP (hosted by Hosting.com, formerly HostMySite.com). My other sites with them included a unique IP, so I was surprised to discover this. They claim it's due to limitations on their IP allocations. Hosting.com doesn't have the option to buy a unique IP, but some other hosts do. I noticed, though, that many of them are using IPv6 for the new accounts. Has anyone had practical experience with having an IPv6 address and is there any impact on SEO?
