Can't find email address or contact form on website I want link from
-
Hi,
How do you use whois or other resources to find an email address for a site that doesn't list their email address or have a contact form?
Our competitors look like they have contacted the site but I don't know how to contact the site myself. They have a facebook fan page and a twitter account.
Thanks.

Not an unintellegent question at all. You are right that you can't message a fan page (as far as I know!) and that someone must follow you in order to DM on Twitter. However, don't be shy about reaching out. Post on the fan wall or @username message the site owner on Twitter. You don't have to spell out that you are looking for a link, just say something like "@username Hey, Have a question about your site - can you DM me?"
I'd think most webmasters wouldn't mind this sort of communication. Social media is all about communication, afterall.
Hope that helps and good luck with the link.

Thanks Jorge, yes I was aware of that but thanks for making it clear.

This may be an unintelligent question, but how do you message someone on their facebook fan page or twitter account. I thought that was only for personal pages and on twitter if someone is following you. Thanks

Hi Bob!
When I'm trying to get a link from a website and there's no contact email or form - or even a name, I WHOIS the domain (with who.is for instance). If it's a small site, it's likely that the same person who is managing the page registered the domain, so you can see his/her personal data: name, email and hopefully even a phone number.
Hope this helps!
Jorge

If you want to get in contact with them, you can just use the Twitter account or Facebook fan page? What additional benefits does having an email address over having their Facebook and Twitter data? If they wanted you to be able to email them, they would've put their email address or a contact form on their website.

I have a duplicate content on my Moz crawler, but google hasn't indexed those pages: do I still need to get rid of the tags?
I received an urgent error from the Moz crawler that I have duplicate content on my site due to the tags I have. For example: http://www.1forjustice.com/graves-amendment/ The real article found here: http://www.1forjustice.com/car-accident-rental-car/ I didn't think this was a big deal, because when I looked at my GWT these pages weren't indexed (picture attached). Question: should I bother fixing this from an SEO perspective? If Google isn't indexing the pages, then am I losing link juice? 6c2kxiZ

Website disappeared from Google :(
Dear all, I've a 5 years old website, which was in top rank for a particular keyword. It's been a couple of months that the site suddenly disappeared from Google.com.au search. However, the site is number one on Bing and Yahoo.

Too many on-page links
I received a warning in my most recent report for too many on-page links for the following page: http://www.fateyes.com/blog/. I can't figure out why this would be. I am counting between 60-70 including all pull downs, "read more's", archive, category and a few additional misc. links. Any ideas or suggestions on this? Or what I might do to rectify? Perhaps it's just an SEOmoz report blip... We currently don't have the post list rolling to additional pages so it's kind of passively set up to be endless, but it's in the works.

NoFollow Links from Subdomain to root domain better than DoFollow Links?
Our service at fotograf.de is a shopsystem for professional photographers. The customers can build their own website with our tool including an onlineshop to sell their pictures. Here is my question: One part of the customers use subdomains of our site like photographers.fotograf.de. On each customer website we include a backlink to our homepage www.fotograf.de. From SEO view is it better to set these links as NoFollow Links? Or should we put one Follow Link on the starting page on each site and on the other pages only NoFollow Link? Are these links bad for our SEO regarding link diversity because they all come from one root domain? Thanks for the answers! Sebastian

Two PR 5 websites, but little to no link data in OSE. How??
As the title states - We've recently developed two sites for clients - within the last 4 months or so. With the Google PR update, both sites are sitting as PR 5 sites. I've tried to have a look in the OSE for the backlink profile of both websites, but I see nothing. Even Majestic SEO's fresh index doesn't provide much info. The DA of each site is 11-16. I would really love to see what's generating the link juice to these sites. Any ideas? The two sites are: https://bfore.co.za

Can export be sped up?
Good tool guys. Basically, when I used to work at a software development company, we used to have a huge hosted app that had to import/export 10's of 1,000's of records, and at batch of 10,000 could be done in a few seconds. When exporting from OSE, it can take several minutes. Thanks and keep up the good work. Look forward to when your database can catch up to Yahoo's old SiteExplorer (yes, I know they were a full on search engine 🙂 but your one of the only decent alternatives, so guessing you're getting quite popular now 🙂

Google UK rankings don't seem to be accurate.
Just a quick question - I am tracking the keyword 'chemistry teaching resources' as part of a campaign and our site comes up at number 4 on a google.co.uk search for this however in the rankings report section of our account, we are ranked at number 50 for this keyword in the 'google UK' column. Does anybody know why this would be different? It is also different for a number of other keywords in the campaign. Any help you could give would be much appreciated. Thanks
