Track Google/Bing Shopping as Referrer

Is there a way to track Google & Bing Shopping referrals independent of standard Google/Bing tracking? It would be nice if we could see the difference between Google PPC, Google Organic & Google Shopping.
I notice in analytics that we get some traffic from google/ppc, some from google/organic, some from google.com/referral (not sure what this is), and some from googlebase/cse (I know this is Google shopping, but I don't think it's tracking all shopping referral visits as this).

Hello Everyone, I thought I would update this question with a few more specifics of what I did based on David's suggestions and also some other key elements to consider that David notified me of through private message. This way, if anyone else stumbles across this post in the future, it might provide a little bit more insight.
What we did is we added the suffix to our feed URL. Instead of submitting the product URL http://www.domain.com/my-product.html, we now have the following for each feed:
Google Products:
http://www.domain.com/my-product.html?utm_source=google&utm_source=productsBing Shopping
http://www.domain.com/my-product.html?utm_source=bing&utm_source=products*Important - One of my concerns with adding these custom URL parameters was the duplicate content issue. As I was researching and trying to find out if this would eventually be counter productive to our site's SEO, David was kind enough to follow up with a private message, reminding me to make sure and go to Google Webmaster Tools>Site Configuration>Settings>Parameter Handling - And have Google ignore my new custom parameters so that it doesn't treat them as duplicate content.
I still have a question about this, as I want to make sure I get this right. if anyone can chime in and clear up the remaining question, it would be helpful. Otherwise, when I find my answers, I'll try to post them back here for more precise help on this topic.
1.) I am not a programmer, so this is not common knowledge to me. But would the parameters I list in Google's Webmaster Tool parameter handling be the following? And I should tell Google to ignore them right? Rather than letting Google decide?
A.) utm_source
B.) utm_medium -
Thanks for the tip David! Hopefully we can figure out how to work something like this in for ourselves as well. I was just hoping there was an obvious way through analytics or something like that to identify them, but I suppose we can attempt to duplicate your suggestion for ourselves. thanks again!

We have been tracking Google and Bing shopping visits by appending some tracking code like this '?utm_source=google&utm_medium=shopping ' at the end of all the URLs we send with our feeds. If you track like this you can segment traffic from each medium (i.e., organic, shopping, cpc).

The sample code provided shows these two lines: ga('require', 'linker'); ga('linker:autoLink', ['maindomain.com','targetdomain.com']); Now the question 🙂 Is it correct when I think that maindomain should be replaced with our local TLD's on every one of those, and that targetdomain is where the conversion happens? Analytics conversion tracking?
Hi One of our clients has a hotel chain currently which currently uses an online booking system which is from a third party. We are keen to set up conversion tracking to track the number of bookings made however are we able to do this if the URL destination is not on the clients website? Or will it be a case of just tracking the number of people who click the link to go to the third party payment site? Kind Regards

Track subdomains in the same analytics property/view
Hello to everyone, this is my first question (kind of a newbie here :-D). I have a website that spans over 4 subdomains + the main domain and I'd like to have a place where I can see the total page views, events and goal completions. Main domain is langhe.net, and subdomains are eventi.langhe.net, servizi.langhe.net, shop.langhe.net, about.langhe.net. The website is based on wordpress and I'm using google analytics for wordpress by yoast as analytics plugin. The configuration of the plugin is as follows: all the website have the same UA-XXXXXXXX code The Subdomain Traking field (setDomainName) is filled with .langhe.net Cross-Domain tracking is enabled Cross-Domain Primary Domain (setDomainName) is langhe.net Cross-Domain Tracking, Other Domains field is filled with: about.langhe.net, eventi.langhe.net, servizi.langhe.net, shop.langhe.net. In the GA property I've created an Advanced Custom Filter configured this way: Field A -> Extract A = hostname (.*) Field B -> Extract B = request URI (.*) Output To -> Constructor = request URI $A1$B1 Field A Required: yes Field B Required: No Override Output Field: yes Case Sensitive: no I was wondering it this is the best way of doing it, or if there are other "best practice" ways to obtain what I'm looking for (for example with this configuration it's become quite difficult to separate the traffic sources for each website). Discrepancy between FB PPC and Google Analytics
This question was answered in 2011 here: http://moz.com/community/q/facebook-ppc-number-of-clicks-according-to-fb-different-than-visits-in-analytics. Wanted to post it to the community to see if anyone had any new thoughts in the last 3 years. I have been running campaigns on Facebook and seeing dramatic discrepancies between Facebook and GA's numbers. For example, I ran a Facebook ad campaign for a chiropractor where FB shows 35 clicks to the website, but GA only shows 2! An attorney ran a Facbook promotion, got 4 clients who actually filled out a questionnaire online, but GA only showed 2 visitors exiting off the form completion page. Is this because the users did not have JS/cookies enabled? Something else? What is the recommended work around? Tracking URL?

Does Google encryption of keyword data impact SEO revenue reporting in Google analytics?
Hi there, I know Google has been encrypting SEO keyword data which they rolled out in September 2013. My question is - will this impact SEO revenue figures reported in Google analytics? I have been monitoring SEO revenue figures for a client and they are significantly down even though rankings have not lowered. Is this because of Google's encryption? Could there be another reason? Loss of Google referral traffic after server move / CMS move
I have a client that changed from MoveableType to Wordpress. He also changed from a dedicated server to WP Engine. He may have blocked search engines for a week or two, so his organic traffic is down but only by 25%. He's 301 redirecting all of the old pages. The mystery is that his referral traffic from Google is down 90%. It's a popular blog, so that's thousands. It's been going on a month now. Anyone seen this before?

Showing significant visit in google analytics

These keywords not ranking even in hundred(google SERPs).I am not understanding from where these visitors coming .Please help me out. Google analytics - landing pages
Hello, I have a website and it contains landing pages. after tracking and analyzing the data in Google Analytics , I found out that the traffic for the whole site is affected by the visits to the landing page. I mean, the bounce rate is less than one minute. this is because users fill their details in the landing pages and leave my website. to improve my website, I need clear data about the traffic, bounce rate etc. in my website. I also need can you help me solve this problem I thought about create another account in Google Analytics and set it to my websites pages (not including the landing pages). and keep the current code for the landing pages. my question is regarding this: Is it legal to use 2 different GA code (each one of them belong to different account) in the same domain ? can you provide me with more information about Multi Account in Google Analytics, and how can I use it to divide the traffic in my website between the traffic and the data for the landing pages and for the website itself ?
