I have a website http://www.versaillesdentalclinic.com with 20 pages in Total, but i need it to be on the top page of Google by 65 keywords and may be more.
How many keywords per page shall I use? Currently I am promoting around 12 keywords high competitive for main page? Is it ok?
I will appreciate a good answer
Thanks,
Russel

I agree with fassa about the 1 page for 1 keyword. You page might end up ranking highly for secondary keywords that are more long tail in nature.
What do you mean by the "top page of Google by 65 keywords or more"? Is that your goal? If so, that seems a little vague as you can easily rank of the top page of long tail keywords, but it doesn't mean anything if no one is searching for them.

Usually it is considered a best practice to optimize 1 page for 1 keyword or key phrase so i would recommend in your case to edit the pagination of the website a bit and maybe optimize for 2-3 keywords at a maximum per page. Also you should consider putting similar things in one place ... for example u can optimize 1 page for 2 things if they are similar like "cosmetic dentistry" and "restorative dentistry" But i really recommend making a different page for each keyword you want to rank for and follow the "perfectly optimized page" example from the forums. It works like hell. Also make keyword research on what people really search for and what they search the most for ... an example would be that 1.2 million people search for "fridges" every month and 7 million search for "refrigerators" so it would be best to go for the refrigerators Your client has about 20 different services so you should really make a research on how people really search for those services. And optimize each service's page for the most searched term again using the "perfectly optimized page" example.

Why is my contact us page ranking higher than my home page?
Hello, It doesn't matter what keyword I put into Google (when I'm not signed in and have cleaned down my browsing history) the contact us page ranks higher than the home page. I'm not sure why this is, the home page has a higher page authority, more links and more social media shares, the website is an established one. When I have checked Google Analytics my home page gets more people landing on it than the contact us page. It looks like people are ignoring the contact us page and scrolling down until they find the home page. I'd appreciate any help or advice you might have. Thank you.

Home page and category page target same keyword
Hi there, Several of our websites have a common problem - our main target keyword for the homepage is also the name of a product category we have within the website. There are seemingly two solutions to this problem, both of which not ideal: Do not target the keyword with the homepage. However, the homepage has the most authority and is our best shot at getting ranked for the main keyword. Reword and "de-optimise" the category page, so it doesn't target the keyword. This doesn't work well from UX point of view as the category needs to describe what it is and enable visitors to navigate to it. Anybody else gone through a similar conundrum? How did you end up going about it? Thanks Julian

How could I avoid the "Duplicate Page Content" issue on the search result pages of a webshop site?
My webshop site was just crawled by Roger, and it found 683 "Duplicate Page Content" issues. Most of them are result pages of different product searches, that are not really identical, but very similar to each other. Do I have to worry about this? If yes, how could I make the search result pages different? IS there any solution for this? Thanks: Zoltan

Should I use a Page Name variable after the ? for a dynamic web page
I'm converting for static to dynamic web pages. It appears that the page name is used for page ranking in the search engines. Will adding a Page Name variable help to increase our SEO. For example aspecialgift.com/subcat.php?PageName=GiftPage&ProductID=ABCDE. Does the page name variable make a difference?

Meta Keywords
Hello Everyone- Quick question about meta keywords. Most SEO's agree that meta keywords are no longer used as a ranking factor in Google. My question is, if a client comes to me and they already have a bunch of meta keywords on their site what would the smart strategy be? 1. Remove all the meta keyword data from the clients site 2. Scale the meta keywords back by only leaving the top keywords in the code? 3. Do nothing Thanks for all your time! Regards, Bill Parlaman
