MyBlogGuest+Wordpress+Onlywire = viable semi automatic blogging?
-
Do you guys recommend I pursue this combination? I want a semi-automatic (spend a few minutes a day picking interesting blog articles) blog and to automate its promotion. Is there anything else I could be doing?
Also this combination doesn't seem to post to facebook pages well. I'd like to also add buttons to like/tweet/ etc, right on the blog. What are some best practices for this?

Hi Ilya,
We're going through and looking at older, unanswered questions. Did you decide to go ahead and implement any of this combination? Do you have anything helpful from your experiences you could share, or do you still have any questions?
Thanks!

I concur with your thoughts...however myblogguest provides UNIQUE content versus the rss scraper plugins I used to use. I hand pick the content I want on a weekly basis.

Call me prude, but I don't recommend auto-blogging at all. Especially in light of Panda Farm.
Should you wish to pursue against my better advice, you could check out feedwordpress and wp-e-matic.

Separate Google+ page per blog language?
Our corporate blog is currently online in four different languages (English, Dutch, German and French): blog.com blog.be blog.fr blog.de For these different blogging domains we have one single Google+ page on which we share the blogs' content in different languages. Would it be better to make four separate Google+ pages (per blogging domain)? What would be the advantages/disadvantages? Also, each article is posted in four different languages. But the author stays the same for all different languages. So one author always posts content in English, Dutch, German and French. Could Google consider this as spam?

In 2013 is guest blogging a worthwhile activity?
Guest blogging is one of the activities I’ve never undertaken only because I went down the avenue of thinking if you go to the time and effort of producing great content why would you want it to be on someone else’s site when it could be on yours. The only reason I’m thinking about undertaking guest blogging now is because with social media becoming more prominent and indeed I found it to be very useful, I can see the logic that if you have got a niche of expertise to write about and you find good quality websites that will accept your guest blogs maybe that is a productive thing to do by attracting relevant traffic and also producing quality links to your website Have you got any experience of Guest blogging recently? Would you spend your precious time writing for your own website or spend some of that time guest blogging on good quality related websites? And if so what you see the main advantage is being?

Ghostwriting, blogging, and rel=author
Do you think it's unethical to use ghostwriting on a company's blog? Specifically, I mean hiring a writer to create content for the blog, and then publishing the content under, say, the CEO's name and using rel=author to tie it to the CEO's social identity. Does that undermine the whole idea of AuthorRank? Is it gaming the system?

Who to aim an on-site blog at?
I've recently joined a web-development and social media company as their SEO; with an onsite blog which we're trying to resurrect. Previously, the blog has been aimed mainly at either clients ('Why is a website important for your business' etc. - I know, I know) or web developers (quick tutorials on css techniques, for example). The owner of the business recently approached me about the blog posts I'd been writing and said they were too technical and aimed at the wrong people. I'm always open to constructive criticism, but I want to know who a web development, social media and SEO company's blog should be aimed at. I was perhaps assuming knowledge of SEO and web techniques that not his previous readers may not have. However, I don't really think the blog had any significant number of readers before. My argument is to aim it at those in the industry of SEO and social media, as this will garner more links and position ourselves as an authority (people learning from our blog, arguing and contributing their opinion on something). Whereas a blog aimed at clients, while it may attract some search traffic, is less likely to be linked to because they're clients who don't know about linking to content on the web.

What to tweet and blog about?
A little background: The site I'm working on, www.ixl.com, is a math practice site for pre-K through 8th grade. Our content consists of math skills where we randomly generate math problems, grouped by grades and topics. We have around 300 skills per grade. The question: We don't currently have a twitter feed, Facebook page, or a blog. I'm working on setting these up, or at least a twitter feed and the Facebook page first. I'm wondering, what kinds of things will we tweet about once I get a twitter feed set up? What kinds of things should we be tweeting about? Things like online education articles? And articles about teaching math? Do you guys think that would be compelling enough to get followers and make this productive for us? Another question, how important do you think a blog is, compared to a twitter feed and Facebook page? I was thinking it would be fun to set up a blog, and post math questions from the site 2x or 3x a week, as well as other content that could overlap with the twitter feed.
