Why is Followed Linking Root Domains higher than External Followed Links?
-
Surely there must be at least one external link for each linking root domain?
Some results for smaller sites give a higher number of domains linking in than incoming links - e.g. www.forbesandsawyer.co.uk
Under Subdomain metrics:
External Followed Links - 1
Followed Linking Root Domains - 2
Surely 2 root domains would mean AT LEAST 2 external followed links?
Thanks,
Andrew

I kind-of guessed that, but I wanted to make sure.
I think it would be good if there was more help text next to each metric (or perhaps on hover) explaining this as it doesn't seem obvious at first.

There are some strange outlier instances, but in this case a domain that links to itself counts as a linking domain. (since it's entirely possible to have a domain not link to itself, we have to count it when it does.)
So, a domain that links only to itself, with no other links, would have 1 linking root domain and 0 external links.

Why would my domain authority keep changing when I refresh?
Hi All, I've noticed that my domain authority is changing every time I refresh SEO MOz. In some instances it increases and other time stays the same as a previous month. Is this just a mid-transitional stage? or is there a potential bug in the system? It's making it difficult to know what is really happening.

I have a client with a bit over 100 inbound links but Open Site Explorer shows total links on Subdomain as over 66,000, how can this be?
I have a client www.woodard247.com that shows only a bit over 100 inbound links. using the Open Site Explorer, they are a well trafficed local site and are not doing any grey hat or black hat techniques. However the rankings for their main keywords have suffered recently and we cannot identify any duplicate content or keyword stuffing issues. We have never purchased links or used link building software. Now for the main question: When we run Open Site Explorer it shows only a bit over 100 inbound links on the page and the domain, but the subdomain shows over 66,000 total links! How can this be possible? Could this be a problem? How can I find out what these links are since Open Site Explorer and Seo Spyglass both show only a hundred or so?

Domain redirection www or without
when i start campain for the first time it says " "Roger has detected a problem: We have detected that the domain www.xxxxxxtour.com and the domain xxxxxxtour.****.com both respond to web requests and do not redirect. Having two "twin" domains that both resolve forces them to battle for SERP positions, making your SEO efforts less effective. We suggest redirecting one, then entering the other here." How to resolve this and how can i redirect xxxxxxtour..com to www.xxxxxxtour.com ? Thank you

How Old is OSE link data?
I ran an anchor text report for my client today, which shows that their site has some incoming comment spam links using totally unrelated phrases (pharma products). However, when looking for the live link, the linking page no longer contains the link to them. Maybe the webmasters removed these, but I can't track down a single one... how old is this data? thanks

Quantity of Internal Followed Links
We compared our and competitor pages. And we have got next statistics: Internal Followed Links: 184 4,496 We are thinking about changing our shopping cart links format from /product_info.php?products_id=3547 to /product_name.html This should increase "number of our pages" and "number of links" from them.
Moz Pro | | ctam
But in case a description of products from the same category often is very similar. We worry about duplicating page content. Could you give any advice in that situation? Do Internal Links play a big role in page rank? Thanks. PS: at attached image you can find full page metrics from open site explorer. Our metrics are at left, competitors - right. BtTap.jpg0 -
Link Blocks
Sorry, perhaps a noob question. In relation to site explorer, have also searched and unable to find any information, wondered if anyone could advise as to what "Linking C Blocks" are? Found under the "Compare Link Metrics" tab. Thanks in advance. Lee
