Internal Links & Title Tags, Which Page Benifits?
-
The best way I can explain why question is with an example.
Lets say I have a parent parent page that is focusing on a broad keyword.
I also have a sub-page which is focused more on long-tail keyword variations. When I make an internal link and give it a title tag, should I give it the long-tail keyword for the juice, or should I use the broad keyword for the parent page's relevancy?
Thanks for any help, advise or pointers.

Great that is exactly what I needed to know.

Hi Don,
Text contained within a hyperlink applies to the page which the hyperlink points to.
So, let's say your parent page is named "Expensive Cars", and your sub-page is "Expensive cars for old people". If the text on the parent page reads "This webpage is about expensive cars", then that text will count towards the parent page's relevence. But if it instead reads "This webpage is about expensive cars for old people" - then those words highlighted in blue are used to determine what the other page, the page the hyperlink points to, is about.
The parent page will not be considered relevant for 'expensive cars for old people' because that text is hyperlinked.
As an aside, if you read up on SEOmoz's 2011 search engine ranking factors, you'll see that Google now appears to be favouring non-exact match anchor text > exact match. This means that the hyperlink pointing to your sub-page would be slightly more effective if it said something like "old people's cars". instead of "expensive cars for old people"
Hope that helps

Is there any decent web browser that still displays the full page title at the top of the page?
I just updated to the latest version of Firefox on my Mac and saw that they now hide most of the page title in the browser tab, like Chrome and Safari. I like to be able to see the full page title at all times (for reasons I'm sure you all understand) and that's pretty much the only reason I stuck with Firefox all these years. Now I'm looking for an alternative – any suggestions?

How to view all 'followed internal links' on a page
I am trying to view all the followed internal links on a few pages of my website. The MOZ toolbar just gives me the total number of internal followed links. What is the best way to actually see all the internal links that are followed by the google bot from any particular page? Thanks in advance.

Image titles and alt tags for multiple images
I'm hoping some of you may be able to help me understand the best way to optimize my image titles and alt tags for a specific situation. I'm working on an interior design website and they have hundreds of pictures. each of their projects has about 10 pictures. Is it best for me to us the key phrase in each title and tag? or is that to repetitive? here is what I mean: A project called "urban interior design" all images are of urban interior design, just different angles and features, so my initial idea is to just have each image title like this: Title: "urban interior design dinning area" Alt: "urban interior design dinning area view" Title: "urban interior design living room" Alt:"urban interior design living room couch view" Is this the best way or will it actually hurt my ranking with too much exact keyword use? Thanks for your help!

Duplicate Page Content and Duplicate Page Title
Hi All, I'm new in SEOMoz and have some questions after I have already spend 2-3 days trying to resolve the problems identified from Crawling one of my clients websites. I get quite a lot of Duplicate Page Conntent and Page Titles warnings and trying to find a workaround through the forums and posts. I continuously get this error on most of my pages: URL: http://domain.com/benefits with the same Page but with a WWW in front URL: http://www.domain.com/benefits Any advice will be highly appreciated. Thanks, Athos

How? Title in Google differs than actual title tag
Just curious on how sites do this? If you search for a video (perhaps Green Lantern Trailer), you'll see the YouTube results in Google/Bing listed as YouTube - Green Lantern Trailer but when you go to the page, the actual title tag displayed is Green Lantern Trailer - YouTube I've seen other sites do this too. I'm just curious what they are doing (I don't see any other title tags in the html)? I thought your title tag is what is displayed in SERP? Thanks,

Too Many On-Page Links
I recently took on a website design client and ran his website through a battery of tests using Pro to take a look at the crawl errors. One that seems to stump me is the error "Too many On-Page links" concerning his blog. (http://franksdesigns.com/wp/blog) This is the first time I've seen this error and am rather confused. The report says there are 104 links on this page. However, I'm having trouble grasping this concept or finding the 104 links. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support!
