Google Has Indexed Most of My Site, why won't Bing?
-
We've got 600K+ pages indexed by Google and have submitted our same sitemap.xml's to Bing, but have only seen 100-200 pages get indexed by Bing.
Is this fairly typical? Is there anything further we can do to increase indexation on Bing?

How much time has passed since you submitted your sitemap to Bing?
I am not sure about other SEO specialists, but I don't spend my time on Bing/Yahoo. As far as I know they have less than 30% of the search market together. I would rather allocate my time on moving more pages of my website to the 1st page of Google.
If you are still concerned about being indexed on Bing try to compare your website with your competitors (who are on Bing of course).
- See how many pages they have indexed.
- See if you can get the same backlinks.
- See what robots.txt they have. (Maybe the problem is in it.)
- See if your site has any errors.
- See if your site is banned from Bing for some reason.
The underscored points are those I would check first.
Warmest regards,
Slava

Hi James,
Bing is very slow in indexing the pages of any website while the google is very fast and it indexes the pages as soon as possible. That is why the google is rank 1 in the internet world.I also use google most of the time and after that bing and yahoo.
But you don't need to worry because the 80 percent people use google and only 10 percent users use bing.
Bing is also improving gradually and hope that it will also establish itself as a remarkable institution.
Bing's FAQs state that you should do the following on-site seo to rank well in their search engine:
· Target no more than two keywords per page
· Use unique <title>tags on each page</p> <p>· Use unique <meta> description tags on each page</p> <p>· Use H1 tags</p> <p>· Use text navigation links</p> <p>· Create content for your human visitors, not the Bing web crawler</p> <p>· Incorporate keywords into URL strings</p> <p> </p> <p>You can find all those details over here: <a title="http://silverrose.hubpages.com/hub/Optimizing-your-website-for-Bing" href="http://silverrose.hubpages.com/hub/Optimizing-your-website-for-Bing">http://silverrose.hubpages.com/hub/Optimizing-your-website-for-Bing</a></p> <p> </p></title>

No existing pages in Google index
I have a real estate portal. I have a few categories - for example: flats, houses etc. Url of category looks like that: mydomain.com/flats/?page=1 Each category has about 30-40 pages - BUT in Google index I found url like: mydomain.com/flats/?page=1350 Can you explain it? This url contains just headline etc - but no content! (it´s just generated page by PHP) How is it possible, that Google can find and index these pages? (on the web, there are no backlinks on these pages) thanks

Google Indexed Only 1 Page
Hi, I'm new and hope this forum can help me. I have recently resubmit my sitemap and Google only Indexed 1 Page. I can still see many of my old indexed pages in the SERP's? I have upgraded my template and graded all my pages to A's on SEOmoz, I have solid backlinks and have been building them over time. I have redirected all my 404 errors in .htaccess and removed /index.php from my url's. I have never done this before but my website runs perfect and all my pages redirect as I hoped. My site: www.FunerallCoverFinder.co.za How do I figure out what the problem is? Thanks in Advance!

Mobile site rank on Google S.E. instead of desktop site.
Hello, all SEOers~ Today, I would like to hear your opinion regarding on Mobile site and duplicate contents issue. I have a mobile version of our website that is hosted on a subdomain (m instead www). Site is targeting UK and Its essentially the same content, formatted differently. So every URL on www exists also at the "m" subdomain and is identical content. (there are some different contents, yet I could say about 90% or more contents are same) Recently I've noticed that search results are showing links to our mobile site instead of the desktop site. (Google UK) I have a sitemap.xml for both sites, the mobile sitemap defined as follows: I didn't block googlebot from mobile site and also didn't block googlebot-mobile from desktop site. I read and watched Google webmaster tool forum and related video from Matt Cutts. I found many opinion that there is possibility which cause duplicate contents issue and I should do one of followings. 1. Block googlebot from mobile site. 2. Use canonical Tag on mobile site which points to desktop site. 3. Create and develop different contents (needless to say...) Do you think duplicate contents issue caused my mobile site rank on S.E. instead of my desktop site? also Do you think those method will help to show my desktop site on S.E.? I was wondering that I have multi-country sites which is same site format as I mentioned above. However, my other country sites are totally doing fine on Google. Only difference that I found is my other country sites have different Title & Meta Tag comparing to desktop site, but my UK mobile site has same Title & Meta Tag comparing to desktop. Do you think this also has something to do with current problem? Please people~! Feel free to make some comments and share your opinion. Thanks for reading my long long explanation.
