SEOmoz directory list, discussing individual directories...
-
It would be nice if the directory list (http://www.seomoz.org/directories) had an area to discuss each individual directory. Some of the directories like Internet Library have great domain authority, but have a large number of thumbs-down from users. I would like to know why.
Personally, I'm very skeptical about directories. I'd love to prove myself wrong, though. The SEOmoz directory list in its current form isn't all that helpful.

I looked at the directory maybe a month ago and a lot of the links were not working or were very expensive which may be why there was so many thumb downs. A cost column would be helpful
-
I think the Internet Library is very selective about who they list. Does not matter how good the DA is if they don't let you in.
I'd like to see a column with "Cost". It matters. The problem w/ the thumbs up/down is that you need a larger sample to identify a directory as good or bad.

SEOmoz tool Issue?
Hi Mozzers, I am doing a web maintenance task for a client and it's been weeks that Moz is detecting 49 duplicate pages ( contact page). I thought resolving the issue when creating the xml sitemap and excluding those duplicates. The moz tool would still detect them, so I went in making a search with some of these duplicate to check if they were indexed but non of them were indexed. So my question is has anyone recently experienced similar issues? Is the moz tool not 100% accurate? Thanks for sharing your thoughts and answers

SEOmoz Keyword Ranking - Does it work for local search?
I was just wondering how SEOmoz calculates keyword rankings up and down every week. Shouldn't there be a way to have SEOmoz calculate rankings on a Local and Non-Local Basis? For example I have "Local Dentist" as a keyword in SEOmo for my dental client. SEOmoz shows that we are not in the Top 50. | Local dentist Keyword History Ranking Analysis | Not in Top 50 | Moved unknown 0 spaces | Not in Top 50 | Moved unknown 0 spaces | Not in Top 5 | If I change my location in Google browser to the zip of where the office is located, we

SEOMoz SERP Overlay Vs. Opensite Explorer
This may be a simple answer, but when I search for a term and see a website on the SERP, the SEOMoz tool bar shows link data beneath the link. For this site in particular, it shows 300+ links for the root domain and for the page, it shows 8 links. When I put that website in opensite explorer, it shows the same data for the "Page" stats (8 links from 3 root domains), but nowhere can I find where the 315 links from 4 domains comes from. So my questions is why do those links show in the SERP overlay, but not in OSE? il5y9.png

Is the SEOMoz Rank Tracker still accurate?
I monitor several keywords on several domains and i have found that rank tracker gives me one result yet when searching via Google myself (on different machines) i get a different result. I've tried several devices on different networks so there is no chance that Google is remembering my searches as such and i ensure that i am always signed out of my account. All devices provide the same results yet Rank Tracker provides a completely different result. It's as though Rank Tracker is a day ahead or something. Can anyone shed any light for me please?

Best directory submittal program? Or at least a comprehensive list of non-spammy directories somewhere?
There's a ton of directories. Has anyone had success with a program that will take your info for a site and submit it to all of them at once? Bonus points if you can vary the anchor text and description. Paid or free. And whether there is anything like that, which actually works, I am wondering if there is some relatively authoritative, relatively comprehensive list of non-spammy directories. Any other directory advice would be awesome! Thanks!
