Is there a way to find out how traffic is spread by the hour i.e 1am-2am 2am-3am etc.. with GA?
-
If you put your date range to one day I'm pretty sure you can see the hourly breakdown more clearly
-
Thanks Vahe! Thats better.. but There used to be a set of graphs showing 1am-2am 2am-3am etc.. Did they get rid of those?
-
Hi Hallam,
Thanks for your reply. Trying to get a full report. I know there used to be the option in GA..but I can't seem to find it anymore. Live data is cool, but not really what I'm after!
Thanks!

In the standard reporting tab, Under the audience tab click overview. On the line graph (on the right) there's an option called graph by. Click on the drop down and there's the hourly option.

Hey there Peter,
Would the real time analytics function be any good for you? Or are you trying to get a full on report? I hope you don't have a super busy site!!

How do I set a filter in Google Analytics?
I want to filter out direct traffic from the service provider msn. For some reason they are crawling our traffic and its throwing off my data. So I want to exclude direct, but only from msn. Would I set my first filter for direct then msn or vice versa? Thanks

Using Filters On Google Analytics
Hi Guys, I am In need of some technical help with regards to Google analytics. One of my clients has a site providing HR Software on SaaS basis. The users login via the site for the various HR Tools. Obviously this is skewing the analytics data and showing 10,000+ extra visitors that actually don't exist. Now I understand i can add filters and exclude certain pages for instance the login page, however, some users will visit the home page then click login. How can I exclude them just to show new visitors to the site rather than users that are just trying to login. Hope this makes sense Neil

AW Stats vs Google Analytics
Hey Moz Community, I am looking to get opinions on the best practice for analytics/traffic analysis. From experience I know that AW Stats reads high and Google Analytics reads low for traffic for reason in this article http://www.smartz.com/blog/2009/01/23/analytic-confusion-%E2%80%93-awstats-vs-google-analytics/ It drives me a little nuts how far off both are for some pages. I have one article that shows 100 views (GA) and AW stats shows 5 times that number of views. Any suggestions or systems you recommend? Thanks

Hey Does anyone know of a way to set up a custom report in GA to show year on year data? Ideally even better would be a way to pull data using the excellent analytics plugin but I don't think thats possible at the moment. Any help is much appreciated. Cheers

Analytics, Traffic and Rankings. Something is wrong, can you answer it? ;-)
So I've been monitoring analytics to see where our clients are ranking for terms that have brought visitors to the site over the last month to find that the website isnt ranking in the top 100 for that keyword. What are your thoughts on this? Why do you think this could happen? One of the keywords has brough over 700 visitors in the last month yet is not in the top 100 for this term. I've also looked Google Webmaster Tools and have found that the exact same term hasn't had 700 impressions let alone 700 click throughs! Weird! Cheers, Sean

What analytics program is best for a small business?
Of course Google analytics is good. I tried getclicky.com. Are there any other analytics programs that are better that are also affordable? What do you use?
