Facebook likes - how can I tell how many likes a product page has?
-
Without actually going to each product page and looking at the number next to the 'Like' button, is there any way of finding a list of all your pages and the number of Facebook likes on each?

Hi! A while back Tom Critchlow wrote a great post on how to use tools and APIs to gather Social Media data, I think this would help you out: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/how-to-track-your-social-media-strategy. Check out the post then scroll down to the part about using Google docs to connect to APIs. I think you should be able to do the same thing for your site if you have some sort of feed for your products.
Hope this helps!
Jen

If you know how to program you could use Facebook Graph API in order to populate this information directly from their server and display in the control panel of your system, but this requires some programming skills - so it's certainly not the easiest option.
Also - with this number of products perhaps you should populate this information in the background (if decided programming the module) using Cron or any other method as getting these information every time you refresh the page might be quite resource heavy.

If you want to check likes for each page on an eCommerce site then it's not ideal. Absolutely. However, you could easily install a plug in to the eCommerce software that showed you how many likes, tweets and +1's etc... Then you wouldn't need a tool.

The problem with that you have to do it page by page..... a bit time consuming if you have 3000+ products

in facebook insights, "like button" and then "popular pages" you can see what pages got liked over a time frame. But I can't get it to show any more than a 3 months time frame.
I'm sure there ,must be a better way....

Should I use FB Share or FB like option?
I am confused between choosing Facebook share and Facebook like options on my website. Like is a one step process but it won't be visible in friend's feed whereas share is 2 step process but is visible in your friend's feed and it reaches more people. Did anyone experiment with these two options and found which works better?

How to rip benefits of Facebook Group likes and shares?
Hi guys. So, here is the question/task I'm battling for several days: As you know, you can't share as a company page in facebook groups. However, you can on other pages. If I share on other page, and people like my post, I can invite those people to like my page, no problem there. However, if I want to share a post in FB group, I can only share as myself, and whenever people like that post, they like a post of me as a person, therefore I can't invite them to like my page, unless I add them as a friend (which is not the best scenario really). The same question goes towards when someone shares a post. So, what is the best way to get some benefits from people I can't invite to like a page directly? Thanks!

Social media signals from Facebook comment plugin on your site?
If you are using the Facebook social plugin on your site like ThinkGeek does for comments: http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/ed6b/ Are there any positive social signals from people leaving comments that could impact the SEO of the page? I searched the text of some comments in quotations in Google and it appears that the first few comments are indexed but most are not.

How can I go from PR3 to PR4 ?
Hi guys ! I'm a one guy army here trying to get my website rank from PR3 to PR4. I have really great content (the website is an industry standard) that's about 80 pages. I currently rank PR3 (find my stats down there). Anyone have an idea on an action plan to get to the next level ? I don't have a budget, I just have manpower (more or less 1h seo everyday + one day a week to write content). Thanks ! | Domain Authority | 30 |

Contacting Facebook
Does anyone know how to make meaningful contact with Facebook??? Last month I tried to set up a couple Facebook PPC campaigns for a couple clients only to find out that I can't because another client of mine for whom I set up a Facebook PPC campaign last fall has an outstanding balance of a whopping $30. To be clear, I was only an admin on the client's Facebook page. Their credit card (not mine) was in use, and they didn't pay their bill. So now, Facebook is holding that against me. I've contacted them through one of the help forms on the site. They clearly don't understand where I'm coming from. I've now sent them 3 emails, and now I'm not receiving a response. I just recently resorted to sending a direct message through Facebook to Facebook Marketing. No response. It really does boggle my mind how they're penalizing me, and in turn, my clients, because another former client of mine from nearly a year ago has a $30 balance. I'm not even an admin on the one client's Facebook page anymore?! With AdWords, I regularly have clients who owe Google money but that doesn't affect all of my other clients.

What's up with the #! in twitter & Facebook URL's?
I was just wondering why Facebook and now Twitter have added "#!" into the url structure? Does this mean we should link to a twitter profile like this - twitter.com/profile - anymore? Should we now be linking like this: twitter.com/#!/kevinbarnes Kevin
