Is buying blog reviews a good idea?
-
Hi there,
I was wondering if it's worth investing on buying blog reviews for me site, by using sites like buyblogreviews.com?
I've been making sure the blog sites are relevant and has good rankings, and not too many outgoing links. I also make sure they write about something interesting related to my site, that should get people's attention and gain more traffic.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.

Cameron,
If you can obtain those links and have it appear natural on quality relevant sites, it is as good as a guest post. Just be careful and choose wisely. It works, no matter what anyone tells you. Let's be honest here.

I would essentially recommend you to take your keywords, and see who is ranking better then you for your keywords. Look at their backlinks and try to get links from those kinds of sites. It has to be a little bit of everything:
Press Releases
Some sort of an Infographic?
Content that people would like to link to...some sort of How To Guides...
The same sort of Guides if you can do different ones for your own site and others that can be used for Guest Posting on other sites/blogs.
Actively participate in some niche forums/local forums where people might be looking for this kind of help. -
Thanks. Great Response. I actually have been asking to do guest blogs on many sites and a few have allowed me. Do you have any other suggestions on what types of links to get besides blogs or directories?
-
I would recommend not using any kind of link networks. If you can contact relevant blogs directly, maybe do some of those kinds of guest posts etc. Also, diversify your link profile. Do a little bit of everything or in other words, don't overdo any 1 technique. A natural link profile consists of all kinds of links and too much of any-kind is where it becomes un-natural.

Product review based on sales data - How much should we link out?
Hello, We're doing a product review series based on sales data. How much should we link out? Consumersearch is the number one position with full sources for "best X product" Consumersearch has flaws it looks like. The data reads correct but the products they are promoting are not the best based on our own customer service informal interviews. Was wondering if we should include all data in the field including competitors and display our sources, or if we should just list in-house data. Any other advice for this is appreciated too. Thanks.

Blog Co-Op - Purchasing Links in Relevant Blogs
Hello, Our SEO company has recommended participating in a blog co-op, where we can purchase a link on a relevant blog, either submitting our own content or letting them find relevant anchor text in an article on their site and adding a link back to us. Links are running $40 - 100 based on Page Rank of the blog. I realize that it is BETTER not to buy a link, but is this going to hurt us if the blog content is relevant to our industry?

Why aren't my blog links counting?
In our blog posts, we frequently include links to our product pages on our official site. However, the blog root domain is not showing up on Open Site Explorer for any of these product pages. In other words, why isn't Google counting our blog as a unique root domain? If it helps, here is the link to the blog: http://jampaper.wordpress.com/ Thanks for your help!

Ideas needed for onsite SEO
Hi, What sort of activity 'onsite' should I be doing to increase SEO? I was thinking of a FAQ's section with 1 anchor text link in the body of the answer going back to my target page. Will the increase in content along with the anchor text inside of it help increase SERP's? I was also thinking maybe use the keyword tool to find search queries which revolve around questions with high search so for example 'How to change a tyre' answering this question in my FAQ's section and running PPC to it, then wrapping lots of sharing tools around it in the hope it generates some social signals. Anyone got any hidden onsite gems they think might help? Cheers

Post Penguin Blog Commenting Links
I have heard a few different things, and I am still not quite clear. Regarding blog commenting, what is the preferred way to do it now? Should the text that is hyperlinked just be our main website name written out http://www.example.com? Is anchor text the text that is hyperlinked? And should the link always go to our home page, or should it go to whatever page we are commenting about. Is blog commenting still good to do post penguin?
