Why has SEOmoz removed its G+ code?
-
Hi,
Back in Jan I asked "Why has SEOmoz added G+ code to multiple pages?" - I wanted to double check something so looked at your source code but see that you've now removed the rel="publisher" code from all of your pages...
Could you please let me know why its been removed? I don't want to add it to my site and find out 2 weeks later that you've done a big test and shown it hurts rankings or something like that.
Thanks
FashionLux

Thanks Casey, that's good to know

After talking with our rep we found that it wasn't needed on all pages so we now only have it on our homepage.

Facebook Page Banned and Removed Due to Negative Comments Against A Single Post - How to Recover?
Hello. I'm working with a very reputable company - and their Facebook page has completely disappeared. Yesterday, a random visitor flagged a couple posts as abusive, and today the page is gone. Some sort of negative social tactic. Has anyone experienced this and is there a way to recover? Is there a way to have Facebook reinstate the page? Thanks for any guidance you can provide!

Authorship not working despite code showing rel=author
When you run this page through the rich snippet testing tool, it says the page doesn't contain authorship markup. Problem is, a look at the code shows rel = author has been properly added, and the author has listed the domain as a site he contributes to. Hopefully someone in the forum can tell me what I'missing? Why isn't authorship effective here?

Remove Social Side Bar?
We recently had a site-redesign and since have lost traffic. We’re currently trying to clean up our code and improve site speed (which we know has become a very big problem). One of the things we tested was removing the social side bar. With that gone, our page speed, file size and requests to the page all improved greatly. And other than the homepage, we don’t see a lot of action on the social side bar with our internal category and subcategory pages. With side bar: http://www.motivators.com/ Without: http://www.motivators.com/Trade-Show-Giveaways.html We resubmitted the Trade Show Giveaways page to Google Webaster Tools yesterday and saw a 22-spot jump in ranking by this morning! Given the circumstances, would it be unwise for us to remove that social side bar? Would it hurt us to lose those signals in the long run despite the overnight jump? Which is the lesser of two evils?

G+personal or domain account?
I've looked through the forum and I understand that it now considered better to use a personal G+ account rather than a domain based one. I can change this as I haven't actively used by elizconley@homeforbusiness.co.uk yet but want to start doing this. I understand that it is better to set up a personal G+ account and a business page. However I have a couple of questions: 1. which account do I direct the rel=author markup to, my personal G+ account or the business page. At the moment I write many of the posts on HomeforBusiness. 2. When I post from the HomeforBusiness site do I post to the business page or my personal page? Which is considered better for building connections and improved ranking? Thanks, Elizabeth

Can you set up a Google 'author' for rich snippets using a G+ business page or does it have to be a personal profile?
I've set up an author profile for myself, but if I'm writing articles for clients, I don't necessarily want to do it in my own name. Is it possible to set up a Google author profile using a G+ business page? Obviously the idea is to try and gain the rich snippets that only recognised authors receive, but to do so in the name of my client.
