Groups of Links?
-
If I have lets say 5 sites and I am able to negotiate a link on a highly ranking site for all five of them together would there be potential for penalty for linking them together on other sites as well?
-
The concept of relevancy is being drilled into my head on an almost daily basis by my current mentor. I am supposed to cringe, hiss and run like a vampire exposed to light at the concept of linking any of my sites to non relevant sites. After the recent penalties, I would be very cautious about how you link sites together, especially in unnatural looking groups and definitely not with side-wide links if that is the offer. All my sites are currently in the process of separation if not outright divorce

Think "unnatural patterns". The trick to SEO is knowing how to spot unnatural patterns. If you've got 5 sites, and you get 50 links pointing to each one, where those 50 come from the same root domains, that's definitely an unnatural pattern.
Given that SEO is vastly complex, it may not be a big deal if you're doing a full spread of other link building that's unique to each of your 5 sites.

Kyle,
What I am referring to is a bunch of unrelated sites that wouldn't be linked directly to each other but all 5 of them linked from the same higher PR sites. Lets say there are 10 PR7 sites that I know of that will let me post a few links. Would I be better suited post 2 links to each of my five sites (1 per PR7 domain) or put all 5 links on all 10 sites.
What are your thoughts on this? Thanks!

If I were you I would approach it not using exact match anchor text and not interlinking the 5 sites together. Build more of a pyramid when linking multiple sites to a money site. If you provide me a little more detail i can provide more assistance.

Buy domain, redirect, get all the good links (+link juice) and disavow the spammy ones?
There is a domain for sale that has a quite nice profile and a lot of good backlinks, but also quite a few spammy ones. This domain has a Spam Score of 14% acc. to Moz Link explorer, ours has only 2%. My questions: 1. The domain and the good backlinks are related to or close to our content/keywords. But we are worried whether the "spammy" ones will hurt us. Does anyone has experience with this? 2. Would it help if we disavow the spammy backlinks afterwards? And if so, how do we do that? Add new domain to search console, disavow the bad links and then redirect the entire domain to our domain or redirect the domain first and then disavow from our property? Many thanks for your help!

Thoughts on creating a resource/recommend links page in order to attain links?
Hey guys, Just wondering, how does Google view reciprocal link building nowadays? I've heard in the past that it's something that Google isn't particularly keen on. However, more recently, I've also read that - as long as the links are decent (and in moderation) - link exchanging is by no means a bad thing. The reason I ask is that I'm thinking of creating a "resource/recommended links page" for a client of mine. Because of their industry, it's really apparent that attaining links is often only possible if there is the opportunity of a reciprocal link in return. Therefore, I'd need to have a resource/recommend links page of my own. Is this something I should go ahead with to make it much easier to attain links? Or should I try to avoid reciprocal links and attempt to pinpoint one-way linking opportunities - even if they're thin on the ground? Any help much as appreciated as always. Cheers.

Link Builder Recommendations
I've been looking for a link building company-person for ages now and can't seem to find someone worthwhile. The reason of course is that most of what I have seen is that they don't actually know what they are doing. I can link build but don't have enough time, I am looking for someone to build links to inner pages of my site to get its authority up without risking getting hit by any update or banging my head against the wall 6 months from now. Im on a shoestring budget but I think it would be enough to get someone worthwhile to do some long term link building. Anyone have some good recommendations for lets say $500 or less a month ?

What are the pros and cons of using a link builder? Can link building be outsourced?
Hi, I have great content on my website which I would like to build external links to from other websites. I am told this will increase my domain authority and ultimately help search engine ranking positions. I have very limited time in my hands and now thinking of outsourcing the link building component to a specialist. Is this a good way of doing it? Could you recommend professional link builders?

Buying links
I have 2 websites to pay monthly to gain links from, number 1 is on the homepage of a directory, it has a PA of 90 and DA of 88.
Link Building | | myloseo
the link will be on the right hand side along with 55 other featured sites.
these links are there throughout the whole site. number 2 is from a website with 20 max sponsored links on a page and will be one of the sub pages on the site with a PA of 74. How valuable if any would these links be? My current pa on the site i wish to send the links to is 26 Can i expect my PA to go up by much? Also i currently have 317 links from 7 root domains on my site will this effect the rank of the paid links? Thanks in advance0 -
Link Building: No linked to content in industry
Hello, I'm doing link buidling for a small ecommerce niche. There's no resource content in the niche (looking at OSE Top Content) that has attracted backlinks (on any sites) How should this effect what resource content I should create. Thanks!

Links from any country?
My site is aimed primarily at the UK, 90% of the traffic is from the UK and most of my links are from other UK based and UK targetted websites. The content is actually fairly international (apart from certain terms like Plasterboard instead of Drywall, etc). My question is: Should I concentrate on gathering links from the UK, or should I widen my search and try to get links from US and European websites? Are there any particular advantages or disadvantages to keeping links "local"?

New ways to get links (excluding on site link bait)?
Fellow SEOs, I’m looking for a new way to reach out to bloggers and site owners for links. There are quite a few link bait techniques to lure bloggers thanks to = amazing content, infographics,...but there are not so many articles on ways to contact bloggers/webmasters and ask for links... We all know that contacting site owners directly and politely asking then to place a link on their home page is as useful as a comb in Bruce willis’s hand. Link exchange is as dead as the Dodo and business partner links are usefull and easier to get but opportunities are often limited. I have been organizing contests for bloggers recently and it has been quite successful up to now, but I always like to have a spare trick up my sleeve. So if any of you have a decent method to reach out to bloggers/webmaster and get decent links please let me know, I will be forever thankful ; ) Cheers
