Tracking Keywords
-
I want to remove keywords to one campaign, but i have several hundred being tracked. Does anyone know if i delete them all, then re-add the ones i want will i loose the ranking history? Thanks
-
You can export them if you need them for future reference

When I go to delete a keyword, I get a message that says all history will be lost so I guess the answer is yes you will lose the ranking history if you delete the keyword.

Best Keyword Strategy for Lower-Authority-Ranked Domain
Hi, What should a lower-authority-ranked blog (DA - 21) who is trying to increase general traffic focus on above all when selecting keywords: difficulty, monthly volume, opportunity, or priority? I know that all are important factors to consider, but I fear that without an already consistent following our new content will just get hidden behind more established domains if we select too difficult of keywords. I'd love to hear from someone who's built up a blog audience as to what strategy they used here. Thanks!

Can appropriate alt text be considered keyword stuffing?
Hi all, I just used the Moz page grader on this page: http://giavan.com/collections/earrings/pearl for the keyword "pearl earrings". It's grading it a "B" and the most important issue is "Avoid Keyword Stuffing in Document". The keyword appears once in the title, once in the H1 tag, twice in the body and 31 times in alt image text. We've recently been taking the time to add alt text to all product images by simply copying the product name. So if the product name is "Pearl & Crystal Beaded Drop Earrings", that text is copied and pasted as the product image's alt text. This seemed like the best way because it's highly descriptive and obviously, quick to implement. But if search engines see this as keyword stuffing, I guess we should rethink it. I don't know why Google would have a problem with this - it doesn't negatively affect the user experience and clearly those alt tag are serving a specific purpose. Still, the Moz grader doesn't seem to like it so if anyone knows the best way to handle this (or ignore it?) I'd really appreciate your help. Thanks!

Thoughts on the Keywords sending visits.
So, many of you know my current bizarre situation. We are getting some assistance. If you are curious my posts are on here and you have all been extremely helpful. To my question: So in my Moz campaign I am tracking a handful of keywords and such, and then there are all the keywords that are sending results currently. Some of these I feel are pretty reasonable to transfer over to my keyword list. Some are pretty obvious that we should not use. Then there are some that seem to be luke warm. Are then worth tracking just because they are sending traffic? I guess the better question would be to look at if they are actually converting. Are people who are looking for Ice Cream upset when then end up at a place that doesn't sell Ice Cream.

Understanding how moz grades webpage and Keyword stuffing
Hi friends i have few questions about how moz ranks webpage. I just started so i looked only on front page of my website And i have grade A and few problems 1. Keyword stuffing. I can not understand how moz page grade tool runks page? does it looks source and counts all keywords? I have menu with 46 countries in which have keyword like "Freight forwarding - England" and so on. May be this is the problem? because if i search in chrome i just see 9 keywords but in source 100. But removing menu does not reduce number of keywords. So i can not understand what should i remove. An we made these pages for adwords campaign us landing pages for targeted keywords. The keyword is : Kravu pārvadājumi (freight forwarding) 2. On page grade shows i have too many links on page like 103. Does it count menus? Is it so bad? 3. what moz crawls for links, Google or my page? because i see duplicated content like vervo.lv and vervo.lv/lv. But if you try to write vervo.lv/lv it redirects to vervo.lv so how it is possible to resolve? What Should i do else if redirect does not help. on the moment page have 3 languages and main language is Latvian, webpage: http://vervo.lv/ Thanks for help.

Can I calculate "Keyword Difficulty" metric using Mozscape API data?
We already have a web application that pulls certain metrics about websites using the Mozscape API, but we are wanting to extend the usefulness of this application to enable users of the app to pull "Keyword Difficulty" metrics in bulk, instead of one at a time (or 5 at a time). I wouldn't mind the 5 at a time limitation if we could just automate the API calls and let the tool pull data for 50 or so keywords without user-interaction. I know that it's a "formula", but I don't know what SEOMoz uses for it's formula. Has anyone figured out a way to calculate this, based on the Mozscape API data? Has anyone ever tried to reverse engineer this metric?

How many times to repeat the exact keyword?
I'm curious what the suggested number of times is for including an EXACT keyword in a document, OTHER than in the page title, h1 and alt text? What does SEOMoz advocate for this? Bonus credit: What is the consensus on "stop words"? I've read the the search engines ignore these, yet searching for the same query with or without them produces vastly different results... So should they not always be included in one's keyword optimization, above?

My 2 Target Keywords Rank In Top 10 But Don't Show Up...?
Hi, My 2 target keywords definitely rank in the top 10 in the USA version of Google but they dont show up in SEOMOZ rank checker...I started using SEOMOZ abour a week or so ago and in 2 consecutaive ranking checks they haven't shown up... Market Samurai says they're 4 and 8 respectively, I can see them in the top 10 of Google and various USA proxies show they're in the top 10... Is there a glitch with SEOMOZ or am I doing something wrong? Thanks, James
