Crawling error or somthing else that male my page unvisible ( Simple problem, no solved yet )

Hi, my problem isn't solved and nobody was able to answer my question: why isn't my page poltronafraubrescia.zenucchi.it indexed for the keyword poltrona frau Brescia? The same page on another domain was four on the ranking reluts... And now it redirects to the new one... An you explain me how to proceed? I trust you... Help me...
-
thanks marcus,
but what made me move the page was was an attempt to improve ranking for that keyword ( in fact having the exact keyword in url should be a benefit ), but if this casue that now i can't work on the link building becouse i'm not sure to be indexed with the new page i'd better come back to the previous situation, isn't it? maybe is faster.... I keep getting inbound links from related sites with high value by asking to be linked with an anchor text with the exact keyword inside.... my aim is to rank first not to create a new site.... my competitor who is now ranked first has lower domain authority but a domain with the keyord inside: turra.poltronafraubrescia.it; the second competitor instead is ( poltronafraubrescia.com ) and now has the second position on google.
p.s. ( the only flagship sotre of frau located in brescia is it our, they are simply reseller, and the two domain in the first and second position belong to the same reseller )
thank you very much for the hel that you gave to me... I'm looking forward to getting your answer

Hey Guido, the big and obvious question here is why move it in the first place? You have created a new site, with no link equity, moved one piece of content from A to B and expect it to rank exactly as it did before and that's just not something you can be assured of.
For starters, I would just let this settle down but you simply can't move a piece of content from one site to another and expect everything else to be equal - even with a 301 redirect.
Not really a solution, but an answer of sorts!

Hi marcus, Thank you for your answer. As you request i'll explain better what's happened:
1. I decided to move a page from the domain zenucchi.it to the third level domain poltronafraubrescia.zenucchi.it; The page was located at this adress http://www.zenucchi.it/ITA/poltrona-frau-brescia.html It was pretty well ranked for the query poltrona frau brescia ( 4 position on google)
2. To transfer it i create a page with the same content and i put it on poltronafraubrescia.zenucchi.it as index
3. Then i put a 301 redirect in the previous page and i change all the links from the homepage zenucchi.it
And so? The previous page remain four and the new is not included in google' results for poltrona frau brescia.. So i don't know if is better to get new link that points to the new.. And i don't know if is better to come back to the previous situation.. Final aim rank firsf..
I hope that this will be clear to you Thanks guido

Hi There,
I am not entirely clear on the problem. If you search for the term "poltrona frau Brescia" there are hundreds of pages returned. Many of which seem to be pretty much the same, or some kind of affiliate sites.
The page page is indexed:
info:poltronafraubrescia.zenucchi.it
It is even indexed with that search string in the cached page:
site:poltronafraubrescia.zenucchi.it poltrona frau Brescia
But, I think what you are asking, is why, when people search, are they finding other pages, and not yours?
I am not 100% clear on what you are asking but the page is indexed but it seemingly has no historical ranking, no links and at worst seems to be a gateway page to: http://www.zenucchi.it/
Sorry, not much help, but I think we need some clarity on the question to help further.
Regards,
Marcus

Why is my home page ranking much higher than my collection page?
Hi everyone, Why is my client's home page ranking high for a certain keyword phrase rather than a collection page I have which is well optimised for this keyword? The collection page is on the 10th SERPs page. I did see there were keywords used in the footer of page and the keyword was also used in some intro text on the home page so I removed the keyword from these two places nearly 2 weeks ago and requested google to reindex both the collection page and home page and I've not seen any improvement of the collection page's ranking in SERPs. I also changed the meta description and meta title as the ctr was poor but there wasn''t that many impressions either. It is a competitive keyword organically so maybe the collection page's authority is just not good enough compared to the competitors hence why they are choosing the home page as it has higher page authority however this still is not helpful to searchers who land on home page. Does anyone have any ideas of what else I can do to get google to rank the ocllection page higher for the keyword instead of home page?

Improving Crawl Efficieny
Hi I'm reading about crawl efficiency & have looked in WMT at the current crawl rate - letting Google optimise this as recommended. What it's set to is 0.5 requests every 2 seconds, which is 15 URLs every minute. To me this doesn't sound very good, especially for a site with over 20,000 pages at least? I'm reading about improving this but if anyone has advice that would be great

Location Pages On Website vs Landing pages
We have been having a terrible time in the local search results for 20 + locations. I have Places set up and all, but we decided to create location pages on our sites for each location - brief description and content optimized for our main service. The path would be something like .com/location/example. One option that has came up in question is to create landing pages / "mini websites" that would probably be location-example.url.com. I believe that the latter option, mini sites for each location, would be a bad idea as those kinds of tactics were once spammy in the past. What are are your thoughts and and resources so I can convince my team on the best practice.

My landing page changed in google's serp. I used to have a product page now I have a pdf?
I have been optimizing this page for a few weeks now and and have seen our page for up from 23rd to 11th on the serp's. I come to work today and not only have I dropped to 15 but I've also had my relevant product page replaced by this page . Not to mention the second page is a pdf! I am not sure what happened here but any advice on how I could fix this would be great. My site is www.mynaturalmarket.com and the keyword I'm working on is Zyflamend.

Development site crawled
We just found out our password protected development site has been crawled. We are worried about duplicate content - what are the best steps to take to correct this beyond adding to robots.txt?

What to do if the wrong page is ranking?
What to do if the wrong page of your website is ranking and you cannot 301 it? Apparently an outsourced company the previous manager hired build anchor text links to the homepage, when those links should have been pointing to a deeper page. As a result, the hompage is now ranking for that term. But I think we can convert a lot more of the visitors if the deeper page is there instead. Obviously, I can't 301 the homepage. What would you do?

Does having multiple links to the same page influence the Link juice this page is able to pass
Say you have a page and it has 4 outgoing links to the same internal page. In the original Pagerank algo if these links were links to an page outside your own domain, this would mean that the linkjuice this page is able to pass would be devided by 4. The thing is i'm not sure if this is also the case when the outgoing link, is linking to a page on your own domain. I would say that outgoing links (whatever the destination) will use some of your link juice, so it would be better to have 1 outgoing link instead of 4 to the same destination, the the destination will profit more form that link. What are you're thoughts?

There's a website I'm working with that has a .php extension. All the pages do. What's the best practice to remove the .php extension across all pages?
Client wishes to drop the .php extension on all their pages (they've got around 2k pages). I assured them that wasn't necessary. However, in the event that I do end up doing this what's the best practices way (and easiest way) to do this? This is also a WordPress site. Thanks.
