Facebook Shares/Likes: Does the users location matter for location specific keywords?
-
Hi,
Basically if I was going after a location specific keyword, so lets say 'dry cleaners london' would Facebook likes/shares from users' who's location settings in Facebook are set to London work better then say someone in a different country or does it hold the same weight social signals wise?
-
Targeted likes and shares on facebook page will matter on brand credibility, if like and share comes from different areas where the business should be just a local business would give an alarm. Why? Because questions will arise from there, are the likes and shares for real? are they not just spam accounts?and so forth.
It won't really give much on keywords SERP, unless you have good content on your facebook fan page that includes yourr keyword or they are currently active and engaging in your fan page- I was talking about the fans.
Hope this helps.

Blog keywords for wordpress/duplicate keywords an issue?
Would you treat the blogs that businesses do the same as their subdomains/landing pages and putting different focus keywords in their blogs/wordpress and meta tags? So you put something different for each of the blog based on content/location/etc and nothing duplicates? Would that affect the rankings that much in regards to blog seo keyword similarities/duplicate descriptions?

Facebook Reach on Post Just Spiked!
Yesterday I put a post with a photo on our company Facebook page Normally our reach on a post is 500-600 out of a list of 77,000 followers. However, since posting this one yesterday afternoon, our reach has hit almost 9,000! The only thing different with this post vs. any others we've done is that I put a text link for the company name back to the same Facebook page that the post was put on. I didn't intend to do this, it's just that when I started typing in our company name, Facebook suggested making it a link, so I thought, why not? I'm thinking somehow that made it appear in more people's timelines than usual. We posted it the same time in the day as every other post, and this was the only thing unique about it. Any thoughts?

Opinions on offering an incentive/discount for Facebook sharing
I often see sites offering a discount for liking their Facebook page, but very rarely do I see sites offering a discount for sharing a link or their page. What are your opinions of this, is it something that Facebook could frown upon? Are people likely to just share, get the discount and then remove the post etc?

Buying Facebook Likes
It's quite easy to buy Facebook likes & fans these days. You can get 200 for five bucks at fiverr. I am sure that most of the likes are from fake accounts. But do you think it will have any affect anyway? And is this black hat SEO or is it just collateral from trying to boost the # likes / fans?

Is facebook and twitter always a good idea to promote a website and improve Google rankings?
I'm attempting to promote a fresh seafood market / restaurant here on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. I have not found a lot of examples of people using Twitter and Facebook to promote this type of business here. Is it hard to justify the time for return here? One benefit I thought for twitter is we could have tweets displayed on site giving us some dynamic content which would hopefully keep Google spider coming back more regularly is this correct? Is there any link building advantage to using these social media sites?
