Keywords in URL:
-
what kind of URL should we use?
www.keyword.net/keyword-city or www.keyword.net/city which URL you would prefer?
-
Usually you won't need the plural form. As for your main question, I agree with previous responders: Option #2!
-
I'd go with the second, again because you don't want to look keyword-stuffed, and the second option is shorter, which helps when you're wanting to share your URL in social areas and if people are typing in your URL.
-
thanks guys one more question:
www.keyword.net/keyword-city or www.keyword.net/keywords-city (plural)
is this helpful to use to add the plural form?

Between those two I would choose the second, the first one just seems like you are trying too hard to stuff those keywords in the URL.
-
Either should be fine from an SEO perspective. I'd decide based on what would make most sense to users - probably the second.

Maximum length of a URL for good SEO?
Hi there, We have a content database as part of our site and I noticed that the way the database is loaded with new content, it means that the URL’s for these pages are really long, around 100 characters or sometimes more http://www.xxxyy.org/knowledge-base/documents/word1-word2-word3-word4-word5-word6-word7-word8 Is there a suggted maximum character length for a URL? Kind of like for title tag where I max out at 69… Should I truncate the URL’s or at least reduce the numbers of words in them to something less spammy? Does that make a difference? Thanks!

Singular X Plural on keywords
Hi there... I´s always confused about which one should I focus, keywords in singular or plural. Some says: "look at Google Insight and look which one has more traffic", other says "go for the plural, because you´ll get both keywords at the same time (ex: dogs and _cat_s). Which one is the right way ?
