2 links going to same domain but different pages
-
Hi,
How is the link juice distributed when you have 2 links in the same article but they go to different pages on the same domain?
I know some say if 2 links go to the same page in an article then only the first link passes juice.
Would it be better to have 2 articles each having 1 link or 2 articles each having 2 links?

_I think if the article is not excessively long for say 10000 words long and available in a single page, both the links will share same value. Of course the number of out bound links matter here. If you have included 50 or 60 out bound links in the domains, definitely the link juice will get divided. But as we cannot tell how search engine algo works, we can only assume here. _

Thanks very much, couple of questions.
1. So if I ref to a image on the domain first then create a link second it wont work as well as having it the other way round so the anchor text link is first?
2. More PR is passed overall by having 2 links rather then 1 (this obv makes sense), effectively ranking the pages twice as fast.
3. I tend to keep the good stuff like guest blogging with the target anchor text and use brand and variations on areas that allow brand anchor text but not keyword anchor text such as blog commenting, forum posts and directories. Maybe this still isn't mixed up enough?

a) Different pages the link juice gets split, each time you add a link the PR passed gets diluted. Two links is fine it's not excessive, just make sure the targets line up properly.
b) The first link gets more credit supposedly if you are linking to the same page, so if you are linking to the same page it's better to have a text link to that page first in the content before linking to an image.
c) I would link twice in each article if it makes sense. Same PR being passes but more opportunity for text inter linking. Mix up the anchor texts always though. If you keep targeting the same main keyword overly you'll get penalized for that keyword in the serps.

If someone were to link to our site on now on an old article (dating back 1-2 years) is that still beneficial if all other variables are good?
I'm trying to build up our external links and am finding lots of opportunities, some of which are on older articles dating back to 2014, 2013 etc. These pieces are relevant to our site and have high DA, I'm wondering if the post date of these articles matter? Thanks!

Does the number of people who click on a link to your site from another domain influence your domain authority?
Say you have a link to your site on the BBC, is it the fact that you're being linked to from a domain of very high authority that boost your own domain authority or is it dependent on how many people actually click on your link from that site? Any insights much appreciated!

Attaining quality links from sites of a different language.
Working on a campaign for a Bed & Breakfast within non-english market. The possibilities of establishing quality links is very limited. However, as it is most of the time, there are plenty of english sites we can target. What is the latest news on achieving link presence on a site that does not match your own site's language? Given this campaign relates to travel; there shouldn't be an issue in achieving links on foreign sites, is there? Does the PR flow through just the same?

Domain authority or page authority in ranking
Hi, sorry if this is an obvious one... I am doing some keyword research tool and have a few keywords I wish to ran for. Looking at the DA of the sites on the first page they are averaging 60ish, my site is 33. However, for the keywords I am targeting they seem to have PA of 1, or at best, 5. From what I can make it out appears they are ranking for the keywords because of their strong DA rather than any seo work. If I were to target these keywords and send backlinks to the individual pages and so build up a PA on my pages would this be enough to challenge the competitors or would I still be at a major disadvantage because of my lower DA? Hope that make sense? I know what I mean but hard to explain it Thanks

Custom Domain Vs Free Sub Domain for SEO
What is your take on custom domain vs free sub domain for SEO? (example.com vs example.blogspot.com) Say if I have 10 links from 10 different domains but all hosted on blogger.com, will it still have the same link benefit as ones hosted on different hosting account? I am assuming it might be less due to the same C class IP appearing for blogger hosting. What do you think?
