Ecommerce tracking problem with multiple domains on 1 web property

We recently launched 13 product marketing sites based on a Wordpress Multisite setup. To track all 13 sites we decided to use one web property, so we can use the same tracking code for all domains.
To track the sites seperately, we set up a profile for each product site with a hostname filter. This works well for most stats, but eCommerce tracking is where the problem starts.
Per profile we obviously want to track the products purchases on that website only. What happens now is that all purchases from all product sites are tracked on all profiles.
How can we change this? Should I alter the eCommerce tracking code or can I fix this with an additional filter per profile?

Pieter, The fact that the hostname filter doesn't apply to the eComm transactions is news to me. That's very odd on Google's part. I suppose they process the _addTrans calls differently? I'm out of ideas, save for having to manually segment once you're looking in that report by hostname. Sorry! Do update this thread if you uncover any other way to take care of it. Mike

Purchases take place on 13 different hostnames. When I view the Product performance report (under Conversions > eCommerce), I see purchases from all hostnames, despite a host name filter at profile level. When I make an advanced segment by the same hostname however, it only shows the purchases on that domain (like it should be). It seems to mee that the profile hostname filter does not play well with the eCommerce tracking...
Does this ring any bells?

Your logic sounds good, and I love the data clarity you're after with those profiles.
Are all the purchases taking place on the same domain? When you navigate to the content report for the receipt page, if you select the hostname as a secondary dimension, what does it say?
Your hostname filter should've bucketed all traffic properly, eComm transaction or otherwise.

Hi Sanket,
We use one and the same tracking id for 13 sites.
This makes it easy to view aggregated statistics in one profile, but also enables a per site profile to only view one specific site.

Do custom tracking codes affect indexing?
Hello, My company uses a tracking system that allows our employees to apply a short code snippet to the end of our URLs for marketing attribution. An example of such a code would be: https://www.schoolofmotion.com/?ref_id=moz-test However, in Google Analytics we are seeing duplicates of our content, where the pages with the individual tracking codes are counted separately from the pages without. From a reporting perspective, this is annoying and definitely worth a fix. However, I'm curious if this problem is affecting our search potential as well. Could this tracking system be splitting traffic in Google's eyes? From an SEO perspective, how should we approach this? Would canonical tags fix this duplication issue in Google Analytics? Hi There, I have a client with EKM powershop. I am trying to figure out a way to either setup goal tracking (however I don't know what the final destination page is) or event tracking. I know I can do the ecommerce tag thing, but I am always worried about breaking the tracking code. Any ideas?

Google Webmaster Tools, about multiple entries for your website
Hi I have a doubt about Google Webmaster Tools or Central as it is call today. I remember that google recommended to have one profile of your website for each domain structure. Let me try to be more clear one profile for http://www.yoursite.com, an other for http://yoursite.com, an other for https://www.yoursite.com, etc. Then in each of them we uploaded our sitemaps and cross our fingers. Now from my experience always the complete url have better index status from the sitemap. Now my question is, today as Google requested all our websites run under https, so conserving the other profiles is affecting how google index our pages? shall we have to delete the old profiles or is better to maintain them? Question about a Old Domain
My question is about a previously used Domain. recently one of my client buy a new domain and now start working with that. he ask me to manage google webmaster and analysis. Yesterday i found its showing 360 Not found error. and showing some link which is not generated by my client, maybe previously this domain was used and these link are generated at that time. in webmaster tools i use Remove URLs to remove these links from google. My question to experts: it will effect my clients site? can i overcome from this situation? or better to use a new domain? at opensiteexplorer its showing Domain authority is 6/100, Page authority 16/100

Linking Multiple Niche Site In Same Google Analytics Account
Hi, I am providing SEO for Local business. Is it advisable to separate out the Google Analytics into different Google account or is it ok to remain it this way? Some of the client might be in the same niche, and might be competing with the same keywords as well. What I was worried is, Google might see these sites as same owner and only rank for 1 of the site. I was thinking to get the owners to register for their own Google Analytics and share the access to me.

How do I track comparison shopping engine traffic with keywords?
I want to track comparison shopping engine traffic with keywords in Google Analytics. So, How can I get it done? I am using Google Analytics URL Builder to track traffic which are associated to comparison shopping engine.
