How to Handle Press Releases for Multi National Sites
-
Hello Moz Community,
We are currently in the process of launching new ccTLDs. We need to know how to handle this from a press release perspective.
Scenario: If we have a global press release, should we release a version for each one of our TLD's within the wires? Or how should this be handled.
Thank you,
Valerie MacDonald

I think most of the major media markets would have distribution in both, so there's a good possibility that the UK PRs would indeed "bleed."

Thank you Brian. I agree that one release per language should work.
We are launching for UK and AUS. If we have a press release that is UK specific, should we be using PR sites like Market wire and be confident that there wont be bleeding into other markets?
Thank you

Are the ccTLDs in countries of origin not in English? In that case I would absolutely spend the extra money to get each PR translated, and send to news outlets in the target language with the featured ccTLD.
But to save money, if they're monophone, I would bundle as many same-language TLDs into one press release. Also, imagine you're a news editor and you see this:
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE *** EXAMPLE.SE LAUNCHES
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE *** EXAMPLE.DE LAUNCHES
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE *** EXAMPLE.CZ LAUNCHES
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE *** EXAMPLE.CM LAUNCHESNothing will get you into the roundfile faster than such a barrage. Less is more. If there are multiple language audiences/recipients, that's different.

Is healthygallbladder.com a spammy site?
Hello Moz Community! We're getting many back links with random anchor text (completely irrelevant) from a website called healthygallbladder.com and various subdomains under that domain. Has anyone else come across this website? I can't seem to load the pages at all. It always comes up with a bandwidth exceeded message.

Mat Release SEO Impact
How do Mat Releases affect SEO? Does google recognize that your are syndicating duplicate content even if the content is being syndicated across top media outlets? Do these back links still carry any authority or can we even be penalized for the duplicate content? I came across mat releases here: http://matrelease.com/ An example of article syndication outlets: Guaranteed Placement on 800+ Media Sites. Bought links from sites with target keyword in their URL
One of my rivals in a competitive field (real estate) has done this deliberately and extensively -- it accounts for about 2/3 of his inbound links. Result: he's now #1. How strong a ranking factor is keywords in source URL - ie, how easy is it to beat with other ranking factors?

Strengthening my personal coaching site
Hello, My domain for my personal coaching site is my name bobweikel(dot)com and I think this is weak for all of my keywords, but I'm sticking with it. What's some of the easiest way I could gain strength with national keywords so that people will pursue phone coaching with me, terms like nlp coach wealth and success coach wealth coach personal coach life coach I know that these are varying greatly in competitiveness. Thanks!

Multiple blogs for one site
Hello, one of my competitors built all these blogs and pointed them to their main site.. Is this white hat? http://steelbuildingsblog.org/ PR3 http://metal-church-buildings.net/ PR2 http://commercial-metal-buildings.org/ PR2 http://metalandsteelbuildings.net/ PR1 http://steel-storage-buildings.org/ PR2 http://texas-steel-buildings.net/ PR2 http://steel-metal-buildings.org/ PR3 http://metal-buildingstore.com/ PR2 http://metalagriculturalbuildings.net/ PR3 Also I am looking at my links vs. theirs and they have a much higher point score for links... But the company I am doing SEO for has most of same quality links. Can this be the reason they have an edge?

So I ran into a site that was not ranking 4 days ago and has over 2 million links to it on some keywords. My guess is this is a link bomb, but the issue is this is pushing one of my sites down. Does anyone know a good way to over come a bomb like this?
So I ran http://www.riogrande.com/ into this site not that long ago and wanted to see if any other SEO's have an opinion on it. I've seen a Google bomb before, but the amount of links going into this URL is insane. The thing is how does one over come a Google Bomb? Do you just wait to see what Google does or do you just hope to rank under that URL? I should also note that it appears that all the keywords to it are relevant to the sites content. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks
