Another Panda update?
-
Our high quality (IMHO!) editorial technology site got hit by around ~20% of Google search referrals when Panda went live in the UK on the 12th.
But the last couple of days it's returned to "normal".
Is that the effects of our frantic scrabbling around trying things, or have Google tweaked the algorithm again, to remove the editorial sites which got caught accidentally?

Have you made any changes in response to the Panda updates? Have you removed some of the weaker content or bolstered it? Have you done extra link building?
It might be Google correcting themselves, or it could be a number of other things if you have made any of the aforementioned changes to your site. If you think your content really was quality from the start, it very well could be Google correcting themselves.

Any recent updates from Google or community on sub domains vs sub directories?
Hi all, This has been a debate for years and I have noticed most of the SEOs suggest to go or switch to sub directories instead of sub domains. Still is this the same or any new updates from Google or SEO community? We have moved a sub domain to sub directory last year. The result was sub directory content started ranking good; but no change in website rankings. Because of moving sub domains to sub directories, will the linkjuice/PR of the website gets diluted as the number of pages increases which will takeaway soe authority? Thanks

June algorithim update?
Did I miss an alogrithim update that happened last month? The rankings for my tracked keywords do not seem effected (so I didn't notice until now) but according to SEMRush the number of keywords I am ranked for dropped significantly in June. Traffic did not significantly drop in one day, but compared to last month is 20% lower (and should have been ~30% higher based on industry trends) According to SEMRush other websites in my industry, including the most reputable ones still ranked #1 for the most competitive terms - seem to have also dropped significantly this month the number of positions they were ranked for...

Was Panda applied at sub-domain or root-domain level?
Does anyone have any case studies or examples of sites where a specific sub-domain was hit by Panda while other sub-domains were fine? What's the general consensus on whether this was applied at the sub-domain or root-domain level? My thinking is that Google already knows broadly whether a "site" is a root-domain (e.g. SEOmoz) or a sub-domain (e.g. tumblr) and that they use this logic when rolling out Panda. I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions though?
