Is Google Places appropriate for an ecommerce site and blogs

I'm working with a client that has an ecommerce site. He has e physical addresses where they work, however, neither would want customers to go to their office. Is it inappropriate to create a Google Places listing in this situation?

I'm working with another client who runs a blog for his PR agency. Is it OK to create a Google Places listing for a blog? He would welcome people to visit his agency.

What about a blog that a PR agency creates. They have a physical address. Is it OK to create one for their blog?

If you do not have a physical address/storefront then no. Google Places are for places.

Google AMP or CDN?

Hello. I'm running a CMS that cannot currently support both CDN and Google AMP. I would have to choose one or the other. Does anyone have any insight on which may be the better choice until I can figure out how to have both? I installed CDN first to reduce the time it took for my pages/images to load. I'd like to have AMP because it can do the same, and perhaps be a little more Google friendly (their product). I would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks! Steve

On Site Errors

HI Folks I'm monitoring a small Australian site bluetea.com.au . Currently I have a SEO specialist who does month onsite maintenance work for this site. However each month I continue to see errors in webmaster tools... as an example, currently webmaster tools suggest we have 21 short meta dic and 26 duplicate title tags..... Examples given are Short Meta Discp ‎/cleaning-products-and-our-health/toxic-cleaners/‎ ‎/colour-consultant/fushia-door/‎ /portfolio/parisian-apartment-black-kitchen/parisian-apartment-black-kitchen/‎ Duplicate title tags <a id="zip_0-anchor" class="zippedsection_title"></a>concrete-kitchen | Blue Tea Kitchen Designs /kitchen-trends-and-material-innovation/concrete-kitchen-2//kitchen-trends-for-2013/concrete-kitchen/<a id="zip_1-anchor" class="zippedsection_title"></a>Potts Point Kitchen | Blue Tea Kitchen Designs/portfolio/potts-point-kitchen//portfolio/potts-point-kitchen/pott-point-kitchen/My SEO tells me that he has solved all these issues but after one or two months they still remain in webmaster tools... can anybody help me understand why?Thank you

Hello! I try to add as much fresh content to my site weekly, I do also have a blog that I update 3 times per week. Will google crawl frequently if I am updating info on my wordpress hosted blog when my blog name is www.blog.mywebsite.com? and the sites name is www.mywebsite.com? Will they treat them as separate domains? Thank you!!

Does Google look at page design

Hi everybody, At the moment i'm creating several webshops and websites with the same layout, so visitors can recognize the websites are from the same company. But i was wondering: Does google look at the layout of a webpage that it's not a copy of another website? This because loads of website have the same wordpress/joomla templates etc, or doesn't this effect rankingpositions? Thank you,

Numbers above actual site content

Most pages on my website contain many numbers above the actual text on the page. This is useful for users and looks good on an actual view of the page. However, when a bot reads the page it appears as rows of numbers with a few sentences at the bottom of the page. Does having these number have a negative SEO effect? If so, should I change them to something such as an image so they aren't readable by search engines?

Can A Blog post impact negatively on Google rankings?

We used to rank fairly highly on Google for our preferred search term, but once we introduced a blog (or rather the blog excerps) onto our home page we dropped from page 1 to page 3 for our preferred search term. We have made the assumption this may be down to diluting of keywords and therefor the key phrase or message to the Search Engines was not as clear as it was before. Is this generally accepted as being the case ? If so - should each and every blog post excerpt start with the key seo search phrase to maintain the integrity of that search phrase ? or perhaps even better still is it best to have the blog on a dedicated page only with no excerpts on the home page ? We are using Wordpress and also using multiple categories within the blog - is it perhaps best to just have all blog postings on the one page and use TAGS more often? Thanksing you in advance.
