Index Page lost rankings? Please Help!

This morning I ranked highly (Page 1 UK Google) for over 50 keyword search terms for my website http://www.careworx.co.uk
This afternoon my rankings have bottomed out and dropped pages? I have not been de-indexed it appears and many of my sub-pages are still highly ranked.
Would anybody know what has happened? I know of Google Panda but I would've seen results drop before now so I'm very concerned. Don't seem to have lost any links etc and am careful to balance SEO with a mix of techniques to keep Google happy and again, have not been de-indexed.
Can anybody offer advice please, or let me know how I can rectify this.

Changed the content 3 to 4 days ago so would coincide with indexing perhaps. Changed back today as it was the first thing I thought of. I have been building links on forums recently and constantly build links through articles, directories and social bookmarking. My link building velocity won't have increased suddenly and have achieved results using these methods. Just not sure where to look to see why my home page has dropped so drastically though.

When was the content change, and how extensive. When did you change back to the content in its existing form?

Thanks again. Other affected keywords are 'RGN Jobs' which was 2nd, again now 5th but with a sub page. 'Home Manager Jobs' 'Care Manager Jobs' and 'Nursing Home Jobs'

Hi Todd. The URL is http://www.careworx.co.uk and particularly the keyword which took my attention was "care home jobs" which was sitting in 6th and climbing. I'm now 12th and for a sub-page rather than index. This is the mystery. Maybe I'm being hit for potential spamming? I haven't hammered the keyphrase in particular?

The idea of "recovery" should very quickly leave your mind. Are you still maintaining rank with the other search engines? I have seen, on numerous occasions, one days rankings are in the can, and the next day right back to normal. The algorithms are mysterious in their ways :). I am smelling something, not sure what it is yet. I need to get your URL to come to a more decisive answer.

Thanks for coming back to me. I had changed the content slightly and have switched it back and resubmitted my site to Google. If this is the problem, will I be able to claim my places back, or will I have been penalized in some way?
Nothing else from your list though so I'm hoping that's all it is, and that it's recoverable...?

In the past month have you done any of the following:
1. Employed a less than ethical link builder?
2. Written any new content
3. Switched hosts
4. Implemented any re-directs or any other DNS / Server Side coding?
5. When you search are you turning off personalized search (&pws=0)
6. Tried searching from a different computer**please list your URL and Ill see what I can tell from my end. Keep in mind that these things generally happen for either very good reasons, or for no reason at all. **

Sizable decrease in amount of pages indexed, however no drop in clicks, impressions, or ranking.
Hi everyone, I've run into a worrying phenomenon in GSC and im wondering if anyone has come across something similar. Since August, I have seen a steady decline in the number of pages that are indexed from my site, from 1.3 million down to about 800,000 in two months. Interestingly, my clicks/impressions continue to increase gradually (on the same pace they have been for months) and I see no other negative side affects resulting from this drop in coverage. In total I have 1.2 million urls that fall into one of three categories, "Crawled - currently not indexed", "Crawl anomaly", and "Discovered - currently not indexed" Some other notes - all of my valid, error, and excluded pages are https://www. , so I don't believe there is an issue with different versions of the same site being submitted. Also, my rankings have not changed so I tentatively believe that this is unrelated to the Medic Update. If anyone else has experienced this or has any insight to the problem I would love to know. Was there a recent secret Panda update? Help.
Our site http://www.entrepreneurhandbook.co.uk has had a fairly significant drop in organic traffic this past week. Going from 3.8k to 3.k Can't see any reported updates on the major SEO websites, we'd had steady growth all year then appear to have back-peddled. One post in particular, our UK venture capital list was page1 for a number of VC related keywords such including 'venture capital' (google.co.uk) but it's completely dropped out of the index for that one and others. Does anybody have any ideas? We haven't done any link building at all, we've focussed entirely on on-site SEO and high quality in depth articles/posts/lists and historically we've always seen small increases at every algo update. 2CG25iv

How soon before author rank becomes a major ranking factor?
Hi, I wanted to pose a question How soon do guys think itll be before author rank becomes a one of Googles major ranking factors? From what I can see the way they have designed it signals that it is only matter of time, before they start using it as a major ranking factor... And I have a question on Author ranks impact on the ability to sell a blog/site in the future. Surely if the blog is tied to an author(s) and the ranking of the site in the search engine is somewhat based on this authors author rank who is a part of the site/blog, then it becomes harder to sell the property if the author is not going to be a part of the property after the sale?. Wordpress Canonical Tag Pointing to Same Page
So I noticed on a few of my clients wordpress tags (via moz) that there are canonical tags on URLs, pointing to that same URL. What is the point of that, and is it harming the website? Is this being done automatically via a plugin? Should I remove the canonical tags or leave as is?

Bing's indexed pages vs pages appearing in results
Hi all We're trying to increase our efforts in ranking for our keywords on Bing, and I'm discovering a few unexpected challenges. Namely, Bing is reporting 16000+ pages have been crawled... yet a site:mywebsite.com search on Bing shows less than 1000 results. I'm aware that Duane Forrester has said they don't want to show everything, only the best. If that's the case, what factors must we consider most to encourage Bing's engine to display most if not all of the pages the crawl on my site? I have a few ideas of what may be turning Bing off so to speak (some duplicate content issues, 301 redirects due to URL structure updates), but if there's something in particular we should monitor and/or check, please let us know. We'd like to prioritize 🙂 Thanks!

Why is this site ranking 1st?
I'm a relative SEO newbie, so please go easy on me. I've been an SEOMOZ pro user for a few months and have used it to dramatically improve my organic rankings. However, for the life of me, I cannot determine why the site that currently ranks number one, does so. For the factors I can determine, they shouldn't be ranking where they are, but reality is different. Could someone please offer me some ideas? My target keyword is "photography classes edmonton" My site is www.bsop.ca and I'm targetting the Google Canada engine. Any and all assistance is appreciated.

Why would my product pages no longer be indexed in Google?
Our UK site has 72 pages in our sitemap. 30 of them are product pages which take a productid parameter. Prior to 1st Feb 2011, all pages were indexed in Google but since then all of our product pages seem to have dropped from the index? If I check in webmaster tools, I can see that we have submitted 72 pages and 42 are indexed. I realise we should have some better url structuring and I'm working on that but do you have any ideas on how we can get our product poages back into googles index http://www.ebacdirect.com
