If you want to see ALL the page titles and meta descriptions on a competitors website Screaming Frogs SEO Spider is awesome. It can downloaded free here http://www.screamingfrog.co.uk/seo-spider/ Note for large sites you may need the paid version.

This is one of the easiest things you can check. The other posts gave some great examples of how - it's just a matter of if you want to check one page at a time or a collection all at once.

Hi Arie,
To manually check:
Go to your browser and check the page source. This can usually be fond under View > Developer> Page source. You will then need to sift thru the code to find the titles and descriptions.
Or:
There are tools you can add to your browser which will pull the data for you. If you install the SEOmoz toolbar it will give you all the Meta data for whichever page you are on.
Hope this helps.

I use a IBP Software with a Optimization tool, you can write the urls of your competitors and run the tool and after two minutes you have a report with many informations including meta title and meta description

Hi Arie,
There are a few ways you can do this, firstly the titles are displayed for each page in the tabs in your browser.
Alternatively SEOmoz tool bar has a "Page Elements" section which gives you lots of page information including the title and meta description : http://www.seomoz.org/seo-toolbar
Depending on your browser you can also right click anywhere on the page and click "View Source". Then look in the section for the meta data.
Hope this helps.

Why do crawlers still track meta keywords if it is not needed in my site?
I have crawled three sites already and it returns more than 5000 errors most of which are MIssing Meta Keywords tags. The sites are on Wordpress and using my SEO plugin I can easily edit the meta keywords of each page, but I am having second thoughts. Well should I?

Switching to a new website & Search Engine Rankings
Hello! We have been doing a lot of work on our SEO over the last few months and are thrilled to be in the top four four "edmonton website design" in our city. However, we are planning to launch a new website soon and are very concerned that this could negatively effect our rankings (as was the case with one of our competitors this week). What tips and techniques can you recommend in this case? On paper, the SEO on our new site is much better than the last - the url structure, contact info and content is much more targeted to our desired search terms, however, I don't want to take any chances. Is there any way to be certain (as certain as possible) that we will not get bumped to page 2? Thanks, Anton

302 (Temporary Redirect) & HTTPS - how to improve for SEO?
Hello, I have a crawl diagnostic warning that says 302 (temporary Redirect). My site is set up with HTTPS - is that the main reason I am getting this warning? I don't have a strong need for higher security SSL on my site, which is what I understand the main purpose of HTTPS to be so, to improve SEO, would I be better off getting rid of this and going with HTTP? Or would 301 redirects be a better option? Thanks for your help! Niall

How does the PRO Q&A forum work?
OK, so the SEOMoz PRO Q&A forum is officially awesome since the redesign. It works amazingly well guys - thanks for a great resource! I'm wondering, what technologies have you used to make it work so well? Is the Q&A forum totally custom, or does it run on top of another 3rd-party / open source / web app structure? We're thinking about doing something similar for our business (not in the SEO space, so don't worry 😉

Which would you chose? Link on PA56 with 88 OBL's and 80 IBL's or a link on a PA75 with 225 OBL's & 40 IBL (Same Domain)
Which would you chose? Link on PA56 with 88 OBL's and 80 IBL's or a link on a PA75 with 225 OBL's & 40 IBL (Same Domain) Pretty self explanatory. I want to know what metrics SEOMozzers rely on most. If you are not an expert at evaluating links for large scale development please don't muddy the waters on this question with a thin and vague answer.
